Between 1964 and July 1965, he was the lead guitarist of the rock band the Tea Set, an early incarnation of Pink Floyd. Margarete Klose (6 August 1899 or 1902 – 14 December 1968) was a German operatic dramatic mezzo-soprano. Life Klose was born (as Frida Klose) and died in Berlin. She lost her father early in life and had to earn her living as a secretary, until a colleague recommended her to the Klindworth-Scharwenka conservatory, where she got a thorough musical education. Klose made her début in 1926 at the Theater Ulm in a supporting role of Emmerich Kálmán's operetta ''Countess Maritza''. Her next role was Azucena in Giuseppe Verdi's ''Il trovatore''. Adolf Klose (21 May 1844 – 2 September 1923) was the chief engineer of the Royal Württemberg State Railways in southern Germany from June 1885 to 1896. Klose was born in Bernstadt auf dem Eigen, in Saxony. Before his taking up his post in Stuttgart he had been the technical inspector of the United Swiss Railways (''Vereinigten Schweizerbahnen'').
