Klaus Armstroff
Klaus Armstroff (born 1957) is a German politician and neo-Nazi. He was the founder of the political party Third Way, and served as its leader until 2021. Life Armstroff was born in 1957 in Jena, East Germany. He trained as an electrician and after German reunification he settled in Weidenthal. He joined the National Democratic Party of Germany (NPD); and in the 2009 Rhineland-Palatinate local elections, he was elected to the district council of Bad Dürkheim. Thereafter, he became a member of the party's leadership committtee in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Armstroff's wife, Dörthe Armstroff, served the leader of the party in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate until summer 2013. In the 2013 German federal election, he was the NPD's candidate in the constituency of Südpfalz. He finished in 8th place with 2,082 votes (1.3%). Third Way (Germany)
The III. Path or The Third Path (, ) is a far-right and neo-Nazi political party in Germany. It was founded on 28 September 2013 by former NPD officials, and activists from the banned ''Free Network South''. They formerly had ties with Bashar al-Assad's government in Syria, and they currently have ties with Hezbollah in Lebanon, the National Corps, Misanthropic Division, Right Sector and Svoboda in Ukraine, and the Nordic Resistance Movement in the Nordic countries. Their founder and chairman until 2021 was Klaus Armstroff. The party mostly operates in Thuringia, Bavaria and Brandenburg. 2021 German Federal Election
The 2021 German federal election was held in Germany on 26 September 2021 to elect the members of the 20th Bundestag. State elections in Berlin and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern were also held. Incumbent chancellor Angela Merkel, first elected in 2005, chose not to run again, marking the first time that an incumbent Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany did not seek re-election. Heidelberg University Shooting
The Heidelberg University shooting occurred on 24 January 2022, when an 18-year-old male student, Nikolai G., opened fire on a crowd during an ongoing lecture in Heidelberg University in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, killing one student and injuring three others. The shooter then fled the scene and later committed suicide by shooting himself. The police arrived at the scene shortly after the attack, and launched an investigation.
