Dugong Kiên Giang Football Club () is a Vietnamese football club, based in Rạch Giá, Kiên Giang Province. The club plays its home games at Rạch Giá Stadium. History Kienlongbank Kiên Giang were runners-up to Sài Gòn Xuân Thành in the 2011 Vietnamese First Division and are promoted to the Super League for the 2012 season. In 2013, Kiên Giang withdrew from professional football due to lack of funds, so the team was dissolved. In the 2017 season, Kiên Giang re-established and returned to the Vietnamese football system, participate in the 2017 National Third League, but the team did not succeed with a losing record. In 2018, Kiên Giang football did not participate in the 3rd division, so it was disbanded again. In the 2022 season, the club renamed Dugong Kiên Giang Club was established again by current chairman Nguyen Anh Tuan to attend the 2022 National Third Division. Rạch Giá () is a provincial city and the capital city of Kiên Giang province, Vietnam. It is located on the Eastern coast of the Gulf of Thailand, southwest of Ho Chi Minh City. East of city, it borders Tân Hiệp and Châu Thành town, the Gulf of Thailand is to the West and surrounds some parts of the city, south of the city is Châu Thành and An Biên town, and to the North it borders Hòn Đất and Tân Hiệp. Kiên Giang Province
Kiên Giang was a former province of Vietnam, located in the Mekong Delta region of southern Vietnam. It is known for fishing and rice farming. The provincial capital is Rạch Giá, from Ho Chi Minh City. Kiên Giang's area is and its population is about 1,723,067 (2019), of which 22 percent live in urban areas.
