Kim Dolan
Kim Dolan (born Kim McLeod, April 12, 1958, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) is a Canadian curler. Career 1983–1999 Kim Dolan first made a national appearance on the curling scene in 1983. She won her first provincial championship and represented Prince Edward Island at the 1983 Scott Tournament of Hearts. Her team won four games and finished with a 4–6 round robin record. She returned in 1985 where she finished with the same 4–6 record. In 1987 Dolan made her third appearance at the Scott; however, this time she finished with a 1–10 record. A fourth Scott appearance for Dolan came in 1990. Her team performed better this time around; however finished with a 4–7 record. Returning to the Scott again in 1992, Dolan and team finished round robin with a 4–7 record. Dolan once again returned to the Scott in 1995; this time she played third for Rebecca Jean MacPhee. Charlottetown
Charlottetown is the capital and largest city of the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island, and the county seat of Queens County. Named after Queen Charlotte, Charlottetown was an unincorporated town until it was incorporated as a city in 1855. 2005 Scott Tournament Of Hearts
The 2005 Scott Tournament of Hearts, the Canadian women's curling championship, was held at Mile One Stadium in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador from February 19 to 27, 2005. The tournament included 12 teams, one from each of Canada's provinces, one from Canada's territories and the defending champion Colleen Jones, whose team was known as Team Canada. Oddly, Jones' team is the only returning team from the 2004 Scott Tournament of Hearts as all other provincial champions lost in their playdowns. Colleen Jones, who had won the last four tournaments (for a total of 6) is joined by Cathy King who won the tournament in 1998. Rebecca Atkinson (curler)
Rebecca "Becky" Atkinson (born July 17, 1982) is a Canadian lawyer and curler from Rothesay, New Brunswick. Career Juniors Her first appearance at the Canadian Junior Curling Championships was in 2000 in Moncton, New Brunswick. She was selected from the spare pool for Teams New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador throughout the week. Her second and final trip to the championships was in 2003, this time as skip of her own team. She finished the round robin in seventh place, with a 6–6 record. Women's Atkinson participated at the 2009 New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts, where she skipped her own squad. She would not make the playoffs that year, finishing sixth place with a 3–4 record, but would return again to the 2011 New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts, where she would finish round robin in first place with a 5–2 record. 2012 Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the Canadian women's national curling championship, was held from Saturday, February 18 to Sunday, February 26 at the ENMAX Centrium in Red Deer, Alberta. This Tournament of Hearts marked the second time that Red Deer has hosted the Scotties; the first time that the Scotties was hosted in Red Deer was in 2004. The winning team, Heather Nedohin of Alberta, went on to represent Canada at the 2012 Ford World Women's Curling Championship in Lethbridge, Alberta. Nedohin won the final after she defeated British Columbia's Kelly Scott with a score of 7–6. Nedohin's championship win was the seventh win by the home team of the host province and the first championship win for Alberta in fourteen years. Meaghan Hughes
Meaghan Hughes (born January 3, 1986) is a Canadian curler from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. She currently plays second on Team Suzanne Birt. She is a four-time PEI junior champion skip and five-time PEI Scotties champion. Career Hughes played as skip for her junior career, skipping the PEI team at the Canadian Junior Curling Championships from 2003–06. In 2003, her team finished eleventh with a 2–10 record. In 2004, she improved from the previous season finishing in eighth with a 5–7 record. Her best finish was in 2005 where she once again finished eighth but this time with a 6–6 record. At her final trip to the juniors in 2006, she finished in last place with a 3–8 record. Sarah Fullerton
Sarah Fullerton (born March 8, 1991) is a Canadian curler from Cornwall, Prince Edward Island. Career Junior career Sarah Fullerton has been a rising star on the curling scene in Prince Edward Island. In 2003, she captured the P.E.I 11 and under title. She would also win the 15 and under title in 2006, and between 2006 and 2009 she would capture the 17 and under title three times. In 2010, Fullerton represented Prince Edward Island at the 2010 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, where her team would finish with a 6–6 record. She would return in 2011 and finish with a 7–5 record. In her final year of junior play Fullerton and her team would once again, qualify to represent Prince Edward Island at the 2012 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. 2012-current Fullerton and her team entered their first year of women's play at the 2012 Prince Edward Island Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Suzanne Birt
Suzanne Birt (born Suzanne Gaudet on October 2, 1981 in Summerside, Prince Edward Island) is a Canadian curler from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. She currently skips her own team on the World Curling Tour. Career Juniors Birt, a skip, is a two-time Canadian Junior Champion (2001, 2002) and a former World Junior Curling Champion (2001). She also won a silver medal at the 1995 Canada Games. Birt had attended the 1998, 1999, and 2000 Canadian Juniors before finally winning it. At the 2001 World Juniors, she defeated Matilda Mattsson's Swedish rink for the gold. The following year she would win the bronze. 2003–2011 In 2003, Birt qualified for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts for the first time.
