Kid Briton
''Avengers Arena'' is a comic book series published by Marvel Comics that debuted in December 2012 as part of the Marvel NOW! relaunch. The series shows 16 young heroes from the Marvel Universe and pit them against each other in a kill-or-be-killed, reality-show-like scenario in Murderworld run by Arcade. The series ended with issue 18, and was followed by a sequel titled ''Avengers Undercover'', in which the surviving characters infiltrate the Masters of Evil. Publication history In September 2012, Marvel Comics announced that ''Avengers Arena'' would debut with a December 2012 cover date, by the creative team of Dennis Hopeless and Kev Walker. The series ran 18 issues, and was followed by a sequel series, ''Avengers Undercover''. The comic has a battle royale theme, notably inspired by the Japanese novel/manga/film ''Battle Royale'' and the American young adult dystopian novel/film series ''The Hunger Games''. Dave Johnson is a comic book artist known for his cover work. For Image Comics he has worked on titles including Erik Larsen's ''SuperPatriot'' and Robert Kirkman's '' Invincible''. For DC Comics he has provided covers to titles such as ''Detective Comics'' and the DC/Vertigo book '' 100 Bullets'', for which he won the 2002 Eisner Award for Best Cover Artist. His Marvel Comics work includes covers for ''Deadpool''. He has also done some writing, as on '' Batman: Black and White'' #6 and '' Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight'' #194. In 2022 he was among the three dozen contributors to the benefit book ''Comics for Ukraine: Sunflower Seeds'', whose profits would be donated to relief efforts for Ukrainian refugees resulting from the February 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Nico Minoru
Nico Minoru, briefly known as Sister Grimm, is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created in 2003 by writer Brian K. Vaughan and artist Adrian Alphona, the character debuted in '' Runaways'' #1 (July 2003). Like every member of the original Runaways, Nico is the child of two of the super-powered villains calling themselves " the Pride"; in her case, she is the daughter of dark wizards. Upon finding out, Nico runs away with the rest of the runaways but later discovers that she inherited her parents' magical aptitude. Whenever Nico bleeds, a powerful staff emerges from her chest, called the Staff of One, allowing Nico to bend magic. The Sentinels are a group of Mutant (Marvel Comics), mutant-hunting robots appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. They are typically depicted as antagonists to the X-Men.
