Khomas NAMPOL FC
Khomas NAMPOL FC is a Namibian football club based in Windhoek which currently plays in the Namibia Premiership. The club is affiliated with the Namibian Police Force (NAMPOL). History Khomas NAMPOL FC was founded in 2014. The club won the First Division Southern Stream in 2023 to earn promotion to the Namibia Premiership for the first time. Ahead of their first top-flight campaign, the club won a pre-season tournament which featured four other Premiership clubs and Matebele FC of the Botswana Premier League. Khomas NAMPOL began their first season in the top flight with five wins in its first five matches to top the league table at that point. The roster included Namibia internationals such as Terdius Uiseb and Absalom Iimbondi. The club continued its strong performances and remained in the title race throughout the season. The Namibia Premiership, or the Debmarine Namibia Premiership for sponsorship reasons, is the highest level of domestic association football in Namibia. It operates under the auspices of the Namibia Football Association. The 2023–24 Namibia Premiership was the 2nd season of the Namibia Premiership, the top-tier football league in Namibia. African Stars won the championship for the second consecutive season. The Namibian Police Force (NAMPOL) is the national police force of Namibia. It was established by the Namibian Constitution and enacted by an act of Parliament of Namibia, Parliament. The First Division is the second-tier association football league in Namibia. It operates under the auspices of the Namibia Football Association. Organization The First Division is divided into the Northern Stream (NSFD) and the Southern Stream (SSFD), each consisting of 13 teams from their respective regions. For some seasons the Northern Stream has been divided into separate North East and North West streams. Matebele FC is a Botswanan football club based in Matebeleng, Kgatleng District that currently competes in the Botswana Premier League. Stadium Matebele FC plays its home matches at its own stadium, The Nest, in Matebeleng. History Matebele FC was founded in 2021 after former First Division South club Masters Blackpool FC was purchased and dissolved. Matebele FC was formed and took the club's place in the league. The Botswana Premier League is the highest level Association football, football league in Botswana. Organised by the Botswana Football Association, the league was formed in 1978 to replace the pre-independence Bechuanaland Union African Soccer League, which was regional. Terdius Uiseb (born 8 May 1994) is a Namibian footballer who plays for Township Rollers of the Botswana Premier League. Club career In July 2016 Uiseb left Orlando Pirates following the 2016 season which saw him become the Namibia Premier League's top scorer with 27 goals. He then signed for Milano United of South Africa's National First Division. After scoring three goals in 13 appearances for the club, he moved on to league rivals Stellenbosch the following year. He saw limited action with the club and scored one goal in four appearances.
