Khazar Ibrahim
Khazar Ibrahim ( az, Xəzər İbrahim, born May 30, 1978, in Azerbaijan) is the appointed ambassador of Azerbaijan to the United States. Education Khazar Ibrahim received a master’s degree in international relations (with distinction) from Baku State University and a master’s degree in security studies (with distinction) from Georgetown University. He attended a senior course at the NATO Defense College in Rome in 2000—2001. He taught the “Foreign Policy of Azerbaijan” class and the “Post-Soviet Azerbaijan politics” seminar at Khazar University in Baku. Career A career diplomat, Khazar Ibrahim was appointed as the Republic of Azerbaijan Ambassador to the United States of America on July 26, 2021. Previously, he served as an Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Turkey during 2017—2021. Elin Emin oglu Suleymanov ( az, Elin Emin oğlu Süleymanov) is the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United Kingdom and former Ambassador of Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States. Early years A career diplomat, Suleymanov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan. He has graduated with bachelor's degrees in Geography from Azerbaijan State University in 1989, in Political Geography from Moscow State University in Russia in 1992, Master's degree in Public Administration from University of Toledo in Ohio in 1994. Baku State University
Baku State University (BSU) ( az, Bakı Dövlət Universiteti (BDU)) is a public university located in Baku, Azerbaijan. Established in 1919 by the Parliament of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the university started with faculties of history and philology, physics and mathematics, and law and medicine, with an initial enrollment of 1094. The first rector of BSU was V.I.Razumovsky, a former professor of surgery at Kazan University. In 1930, the government ordered the university shut down in accordance with a reorganization of higher education, and the university was replaced with the Supreme Pedagogical Institute. However, in 1934 the university was reestablished again and continued to work through the difficult years of World War II experiencing a shortage of faculty members.
