Khalid Karami
Khalid Karami (born 29 December 1989) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a right back. Club career Karami was born in Amsterdam. Prior to joining Go Ahead Eagles in 2011, he had spells in the Dutch lower leagues with DWS and Watergraafsmeer. On 5 August 2011, he made his Eerste Divisie debut during Go Ahead Eagles' 1–0 home victory over Telstar, playing the full 90 minutes. Karami went onto appear seventy-two more times, scoring four goals for Go Ahead Eagles before making the move to fellow Eerste Divisie side Excelsior in August 2013. Later that month, he made his debut during their 1–0 away defeat against Emmen, replacing Elso Brito in the 52nd minute. During the following campaign in which Excelsior secured promotion back to the Eredivisie, Karami struggled for regular gametime, however netted his first goal for the club during their 3–3 draw with AZ. AZ Alkmaar
Alkmaar Zaanstreek (), better known as AZ Alkmaar or simply AZ (), is a Dutch professional football club from Alkmaar and the Zaan district. The season began on 11 August 2017 and concluded on 6 May 2018; the Europa League and relegation play-offs took place later that month. The 2016–17 Eredivisie season was the 61st season of the top-tier Dutch League Eredivisie since its establishment in 1956. The fixtures for this season were announced on 14 June 2016. Teams A total of 18 teams took part in the league: The best fifteen teams from the 2015–16 season, two promotion/relegation playoff winners and the 2015–16 Eerste Divisie champions. Sparta Rotterdam, the champion of the 2015–16 Eerste Divisie, returned to the Eredivisie after spending six seasons in the Eerste Divisie, whereas play-off winner Go Ahead Eagles returned to the Eredivisie after just one season. They replaced relegated teams Cambuur and De Graafschap. As a result of financial maladministration, the KNVB had originally taken FC Twente's license, causing them to relegate to the 2016-17 Eerste Divisie. On 18 April 2015, PSV were confirmed as champions of the season, thus ending the four-year reign of Ajax.
