The 2018–19 season was SBV Vitesse, Vitesse's 29th consecutive season in the top flight of Dutch football, the Eredivisie, and 126th year in existence as a football club. The season covered the period from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019. Squad Transfers In : Transfers announced on the above dates, but were not finalised until 1 July. SBV Vitesse Arnhem (''Stichting Betaald Voetbal Vitesse Arnhem, Eng: Professional Football Foundation Vitesse Arnhem''), widely known as Vitesse () or internationally known as Vitesse Arnhem, is a Dutch professional association football, football club located in the municipality of Arnhem. Established on 14 May 1892, they currently play in the Eerste Divisie following relegation from the 2023–24 Eredivisie. Since 1998, the club has played its home games at the GelreDome. Vitesse had its most successful period in the 1990s. Their best result in the Eredivisie was third place in 1997–98. Alexander Büttner (; born 11 February 1989) is a Dutch professional association football, footballer who plays as a left-back for club SBV Vitesse, Vitesse. Club career Vitesse Born in Doetinchem, Büttner began his career with local club VV Doetinchem, but spent his formative years with Jong Ajax, Ajax before joining SBV Vitesse, Vitesse at the age of 16 in 2005. Rasmus Thelander (born 9 July 1991) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Danish Superliga club Lyngby. Jake-Liam Clarke-Salter (born 22 September 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Queens Park Rangers.
