Khalid (Bangladeshi Singer)
Khalid (1963/1964–18 March 2024) was a Bangladeshi singer. He was one of the pioneers of Bangladeshi pop music in the 1980s and 1990s. Originally from Gopalganj, Khalid joined the Dhaka band in the early 1980s as its lead singer. His bandmates were Chime founder Ashiquzzaman Tulu and Aly Sumon. The band had its greatest success with the single "Nati Khati Bela Gelo" in 1987. Khalid was also popular as a solo artist, recording hits such as "Shorolotar Protima", "Himaloy", and "Kono Karonei". He collaborated with Prince Mahmud Prince Mahmud (born 17 July) is a Bangladeshi lyricist, composer and music director, who has been writing and composing songs for solo and joint albums of band artists in Bangladesh since the 90's. Khalid ibn al-Walid ibn al-Mughira al-Makhzumi (; died 642) was a 7th-century Arabs, Arab military commander. He initially led campaigns against Muhammad on behalf of the Quraysh. He later became a Muslim and spent the remainder of his career serving Muhammad and the first two Rashidun caliphs: Abu Bakr and Umar. Bani Khalid
Bani Khalid () is an Arab tribal confederation mainly inhabiting the Arabian Peninsula. The tribe ruled southern Iraq, Kuwait, and Eastern Arabia ( al-Hasa and al-Qatif) from the 15th century to the 18th century, and again under the protection of the Ottoman Empire during the early 19th century. At its greatest extent, the domain of Bani Khalid extended from Iraq in the north to the borders of Oman in the south, and Bani Khalid wielded political influence by ruling the region of Najd in central Arabia. Most of the tribe's members presently reside in eastern and central Saudi Arabia, while others live in Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates. The Al-Khalid/VT-1A (—, , ) is a main battle tank family developed jointly by Norinco of China and Heavy Industries Taxila of Pakistan. The tank is based on the Type 90-II tank. Around 310 Al-Khalid MBTs had been produced by 2014. The tank has been exported to Bangladesh, Morocco and Myanmar by China. The VT-1A is also known as MBT-2000. The Bangladesh Army ordered 44 MBT-2000s from China in 2011. The Norinco-made MBT-2000 is also used by the Royal Moroccan Army.
