Ken Kelly (artist)
Ken W. Kelly (May 19, 1946 – June 2, 2022) was an American fantasy artist. Over his 50-year career, he focused in particular on paintings in the sword and sorcery and heroic fantasy subgenres. Biography Kelly was the nephew of Frank Frazetta's wife Eleanor "Ellie" Frazetta ( Kelly; 1935–2009). Early in his career he was able to study the paintings of Frank Frazetta in the latter's studio. In the early 1970s he did a couple of cover paintings for ''Castle of Frankenstein'' magazine. Throughout the 1970s he was one of the foremost cover artists on Warren Publishing's ''Creepy'' and ''Eerie'' magazines. He depicted Conan the Barbarian, Tarzan and the rock acts KISS, Manowar, Sleepy Hollow, Rainbow, and Ace Frehley. His work often portrays exotic, enchanted locales and primal battlefields. Fantasy
Fantasy is a genre of speculative fiction that involves supernatural or Magic (supernatural), magical elements, often including Fictional universe, imaginary places and Legendary creature, creatures. Coheed and Cambria is an American progressive rock band from Nyack, New York, formed in 1995. It consists of Claudio Sanchez (vocals, guitars, keyboards), Travis Stever (guitars, vocals), Josh Eppard (drums, keyboards, backing vocals), and Zach Cooper (bass, backing vocals). ''Kings of Metal'' is the sixth album by the American heavy metal band Manowar, released on November 18, 1988 by Atlantic Records. The album was the last to feature guitarist and founding member Ross "The Boss" Friedman, who later went on to rejoin punk band The Dictators. Drummer Scott Columbus left the band after this album as well, but rejoined for 1996's '' Louder Than Hell'' and remained with the band until 2008. ''Fighting the World'' is the fifth album by the American heavy metal band Manowar, released in February 1987 by ATCO Records. This was the first Manowar album to feature artwork by long-time collaborator Ken Kelly, and also one of the earliest heavy metal albums to be recorded and mixed entirely on digital equipment. Since ''Fighting the World'', all Manowar album covers have been painted by Ken Kelly. Background ''Fighting the World'' was the first Manowar album to be digitally recorded and mixed entirely with a 32-track digital machine at Universal Recording Studios in Chicago, Illinois. The song "Defender" features a speech by American actor Orson Welles. The album was released two years after Welles died and is dedicated to him. The recording of Welles' speech was re-used from the original 1982 demo of the song. ''Love Gun'' is the sixth studio album by American hard rock band Kiss, released on June 30, 1977. Casablanca Records and FilmWorks shipped one million copies of the album on this date. It was certified platinum and became the band's first top 5 album on the ''Billboard'' 200. The album was remastered in 1997 and again in 2014. Electric Magma is an instrumental heavy riff rock band from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Electric Magma was formed between 2000 and 2001 by Tryg Smith, Tim Reesor and Tom Brouard.
