Keith Horne
Keith Weller Horne (born 9 June 1971) is a professional golfer from South Africa. Horne was born in Durban and had a successful amateur career. In 1993, Horne won a Silver Medal at the World Games in Spain. He turned professional in 1996. He is an alumnus of Westville Boys' High School. Professional career After turning professional in 1996, Horne immediately joined the local Sunshine Tour, the richest professional golf tour in South Africa. His first professional win came in 1998 at the Vodacom Series: Kwazulu Natal. After that, he had a few off-seasons until he won a few unofficial Pro-Ams in 2003. Ulrich van den Berg (born 13 January 1975) is a South African professional golfer. Van den Berg was born in East London. He had a successful amateur career which peaked in 1997 when he won the South African Amateur Strokeplay Championship, the Transvaal Amateur, and the Western Province Strokeplay Championship. He turned professional in 1999 and joined the Sunshine Tour. He has several tournament victories on the tour, all on the less lucrative "Winter Swing". Van den Berg played on the European Tour in 2008 having won his card at qualifying school at the end of 2007. Having been unable to play in more than 10 tournaments in his rookie season due to family reasons, he was granted a conditional card for 2009 on a medical exemption, but failed to win enough money to retain his playing status. Erik van Rooyen (born 21 February 1990) is a South African professional golfer currently playing on the European Tour and the PGA Tour. He won the 2019 Scandinavian Invitation on the European Tour, and the 2021 Barracuda Championship on the PGA Tour. 2014 Sunshine Tour
The 2014 Sunshine Tour was the 15th season of professional golf tournaments since the southern Africa based Sunshine Tour was relaunched in 2000, and the 8th since the tour switched a calendar based season in 2007. The Sunshine Tour represents the highest level of competition for male professional golfers in the region. The tour is based predominantly in South Africa with other events being held in neighbouring countries, including Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Zambia and Namibia. As usual, the tour consists of two distinct parts, commonly referred to as the "Summer Swing" and the "Winter Swing". Tournaments held during the Summer Swing generally have much higher prize funds, attract stronger fields, and until 2012 were the only tournaments on the tour to carry world ranking points, with some events being co-sanctioned with the European Tour. Darren Clive Fichardt (born 13 May 1975) is a South African professional golfer who plays on both the European and Sunshine Tours. Early life Fichardt was born in Pretoria and grew up in Centurion, Gauteng. He attended Sutherland High School from 1988 to 1993, where his talent for golf was nurtured. Professional career Fichardt turned professional in 1994 and he won the Southern Africa Tour (now the Sunshine Tour) Order of Merit in 1999/2000 and 2003/04.
