''Katari Veera'' () is a 1966 Indian Kannada-language swashbuckler film directed by Y. R. Swamy and produced by T. Vasanna and S. Heera. The film stars Dr. Rajkumar, Udaya Chandrika, Udaykumar, Narasimharaju, Balakrishna and Vanisri . This is the first Kannada film of actress Udaya Chandrika and was also the debut movie of Nagappa – who went on to become one of the popular villains of his time. Udaya Chandrika
Udaya Chandrika was an Indian actress of Kannada cinema from the mid-1960s to the mid-1970s. She also appeared in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu-language films. Career Udaya Chandrika began her career with ''Katari Veera'', released in 1966. She played Dr. Rajkumar's sweetheart in that film. Later, she went on to play many roles in Kannada films till her last appearance in ''Udugore'', released in 1979, with Kalyan Kumar. Bommasandra Srinivasaiah Suryanarayana Murthy (16 March 1933 – 26 December 1985), known professionally as Uday Kumar, was an Indian actor, writer, and film producer who worked primarily in Kannada cinema. Along with Rajkumar and Kalyan Kumar, he was part of the trio known as the ''Kumarathrayaru'' ("the three Kumars") of Kannada cinema. In addition to acting, he wrote several stage dramas and books. Tirumakudalu Narasipura Balakrishna (2 November 1913 – 19 July 1995) was an Indian actor in Kannada cinema. He was said to have a hearing problem and some say that he was totally deaf. However, he would catch the lip movements of the artists and would narrate the dialogues spontaneously. Upendra Kumar
Upendra Kumar (18 July 1941 – 24 January 2002) was an Indian composer who predominantly worked in Kannada films. He was known for his strong association with Rajkumar and his family and scored some of his career best compositions for the films featuring Rajkumar and his sons. He had scored for 210 films mainly in Kannada, in addition to Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Tulu films. Early life Kumar originally hailed from Digapahandi, a town in the present-day Odisha State of India. He was born in 1941 in Madras (now Chennai) in British India.
