Karun (musician)
Karungari Mungai (born 7 July 1994), professionally known as Karun, is a Kenyan-based singer, songwriter and producer. Karun debuted in the music industry as a teenager as part of BET-nominated group Camp Mulla. Following the group's split in 2012, Karun returned to the Kenyan music industry after her studies and released a series of singles in 2019 one of which was launched as part of Mr Eazi's Empawa Arica Music Program. She has released several EP albums, singles and collaborations since. Early life From the age of six, Karun talked about being a singer and was supported by her family from early on. Camp Mulla
Camp Mulla was an alternative hip hop group originating from and based in Nairobi, Kenya. The group rose to prominence with the release of their single " Party Don't Stop" on 31 August 2010, with that and their subsequent works earning them a nomination for Best International Act (Africa) at the 2012 BET Awards. Following the release of their debut studio album, '' Funky Town'', the group's lead singer Karun and rapper Taio both left the group to pursue higher education and solo careers. In September 2017 the main four members announced their reunion at The Wave performance at the Waterfront, Ng'ong racecourse, but soon after disbanded again. Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade (born 19 July 1991), better known by his stage name Mr Eazi, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record executive. He is the pioneer of Banku music, a fusion of sound he describes as a mixture of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and patterns. Mr Eazi relocated to Kumasi in 2008 and enrolled at KNUST, where he began booking artists to perform at college parties. Bonobo (musician)
Simon Green (born 30 March 1976), known by his stage name Bonobo, is an English musician, producer, and DJ based in Los Angeles. He debuted with a trip hop aesthetic and has since explored more upbeat approaches as well as jazz and world music influences. His electronic music, electronic sound incorporates the use of organic instrumentation and is recreated by a full band in live performances. Kelela Mizanekristos (, , ) (born June 4, 1983) is an American singer. She made her debut in the music industry with the release of her 2013 mixtape ''Cut 4 Me.''
