''Karmachakra'' () also known as ''Karmachakra: Episode Zero'' is an anime-influenced original mystery drama Indian animated film produced by Studio Durga. Billed as the first independent Indian anime production, the project was first announced in 2017. Production was completed in 2020. ''Karmachakra: Episode Zero'' is planned to be the first of a series of three ''Karmachakra'' films. A 20-minute pilot was released on YouTube in February 2020. Premise Set in urban Indian state West Bengal's capital city of Kolkata, an orphaned girl Ganga is embodied into finding her parents and her roots while coping up with her present situations. What starts out as a search for the past begins digging up more sinister fragments of mysticism, psychology and cryptography. Battling the unanswered questions, Ganga is sworn to find the truth of her ordeal and events leading to her mystery, which might also reveal several webs of connections en route. Santu Mukherjee
Santu Mukherjee (13 January 1951 – 11 March 2020) was an Indian actor who worked in Bengali cinema. He was the father of actress Swastika Mukherjee. His younger brother, Sumanta Mukherjee, is also an actor. Early life and biography Santu Mukherjee was born on 13 January 1951 in Kolkata. He attended the Mitra Institution at Bhowanipore at a primary level and later, joined the Padmapukur Institution at Sarat Bose Road, from where he passed his Higher Secondary Examination. He soon dropped out from studies and took dance lessons from Gopal Bhattacharya. He also learned Rabindra Sangeet. He went to renowned director Tapan Sinha, seeking a role in Bengali films. In 1975, Sinha launched him as an actor in the film ''Raja''. Subsequent to his cinematic breakthrough, he working in theater and films. His last film was '' Sanjhbati''. Sabyasachi Chakrabarty
Sabyasachi Chakrabarty ( is an Indian actor known for his work in theatre, films and television. He is best known for portraying iconic Bengali detective characters, Feluda, and Kakababu. Personal life His parents, Jagadish Chandra Chakrabarty and Monica Chakrabarty, used to call him "Benu". In 1975, he passed Higher Secondary Examination from Andrew's High School, Kolkata. Swastika Mukherjee (born 13 December 1980) is an Indian actress who mainly appears in Bengali and Hindi films and television. She is the daughter of actor Santu Mukhopadhyay. Anime-influenced animation is a type of non-Japanese work of animation that is noticeably similar to or inspired by anime.
