The group was formed in 2002 and made their CD debut in 2004 as "Johnny's modern enka group", though after the year 2006, their sound and style has become a mix of pop and rock. Like the rest of the acts managed under Johnny & Associates, Super Eight also perform in various other areas of the Japanese entertainment industry such as variety show hosting, television, movie, and stage acting, and radio talk show hosting. is a Japanese idol, singer, actor and radio host. He is a member of Japanese male idol group Super Eight (group), Super Eight (previously known as Kanjani Eight), which is under the management of Johnny & Associates. Hiroki Uchi
(born September 10, 1986) is a Japanese actor, idol singer, songwriter, and model. He was born in Habikino, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. Biography Uchi Hiroki auditioned for Johnny & Associates in May 1999, at the age of twelve. He had no interest in the entertainment industry, instead dreaming about a professional baseball career, but was signed up to audition by his mother. He became the vocalist of the junior's group V. Ryo Nishikido
is a Japanese singer and actor. He was formerly under the management of Johnny & Associates as a member of Japanese boy bands Kanjani Eight and News. His first solo album was released in December 2019. Biography Ryo Nishikido was born in Hyogo on November 3, 1984, and raised in Osaka. He was selected as a member of the Johnny's Jr. collective in 1997, and subsequently made his major debut in 2004 as an actor and a singer with pop band News. Subaru Shibutani
is a Japanese singer, actor and lyricist. He was also the main vocalist of Japanese male idol group Kanjani Eight, which debuted with modern enka, before he left the group in 2018. His first solo album ''Nisai'' was released in October 2019. Shibutani was already a singer in his own right before the group's debut, immensely popular among Johnny's Jr. fans as the top Kansai Jr. of his time.
