NEWS (band)
NEWS (acronym for "North East West South") is a Japanese boy band consisting of Keiichiro Koyama, Takahisa Masuda and Shigeaki Kato. Formed in 2003 by Johnny Kitagawa as a nine-member group under the label Johnny's Entertainment, NEWS released a promotional single , which was used for the World Cup of Volleyball Championships. In 2004, Takahiro Moriuchi (present-day Taka of One Ok Rock) left the group and the remaining eight members released their debut single, , which debuted atop the Oricon charts. In 2006, the group released their fifth consecutive number-one single, , as a six-member group due to the controversy surrounding then-members Hiroki Uchi and Hironori Kusano. The regular edition comes with a bonus track. The album debuted at the number-one spot on the Oricon chart, making ''Color'' their third consecutive number-one album. Kurosagi (film)
is a 2008 Japanese live-action film based on the manga series of the same name by Takeshi Natsuhara and Kuromaru. After the finale of the TV series in June, TBS received many questions about whether there would be a new season or a film. TBS decided to shoot a film, beginning in August 2007. On March 8, 2008, the cast appeared on stage at Toho Cinemas Roppongi Hills. At the end of the conference, a guard with a suitcase filled with 3,800,000,000 yen (since it was March 8) appeared on stage. Yamashita said he would make another Kurosagi film, shooting it overseas. ''Pacific'' is the second studio album by Japanese musical group NEWS, released on November 7, 2007. The album reached the number one position on the Oricon Daily Album Chart and Oricon Weekly Album Chart. Four singles have been released from this album. , previously known as is a five-member Japanese boy band from Japan's Kansai region. They are managed by the multimedia talent agency Starto Entertainment (formerly Johnny & Associates) and signed to Infinity Records. The group was formed in 2002 and made their CD debut in 2004 as "Johnny's modern enka group", though after the year 2006, their sound and style has become a mix of pop and rock. (born September 10, 1986) is a Japanese actor, idol singer, songwriter, and model. He was born in Habikino, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. Biography Uchi Hiroki auditioned for Johnny & Associates in May 1999, at the age of twelve. He had no interest in the entertainment industry, instead dreaming about a professional baseball career, but was signed up to audition by his mother. He became the vocalist of the junior's group V. is a Japanese duo consisting of Koichi Domoto and Tsuyoshi Domoto under the talent agency Starto Entertainment (formerly of Johnny & Associates). Domoto was formed in 1993 as Kinki Kids and officially debuted on July 21, 1997.
