Kala (film)
''Dead Time: Kala'' (also known as ''Kala'', ''Dead Time'', or ''The Secret'') is a 2007 Indonesian neo-noir thriller film written and directed by Joko Anwar. The film stars an ensemble cast led by Fachri Albar, Ario Bayu, Shanty, and Fahrani. It was released on 19 April 2007 and being the MD Entertainment's first film, which originated as the television series producer years prior. At the 27th Citra Awards, the film won 3 out of its 7 nominations. ''Sight & Sound'' selected the film as one of the best films of 2007 and named Anwar one of the smartest filmmakers in Asia. Joko Anwar
Joko Anwar (born 3 January 1976) is an Indonesian film director, producer, screenwriter, and actor. Prior to becoming a filmmaker, he worked as a journalist and film critic. Anwar first rose to prominence for co-writing Nia Dinata's 2003 hit '' Arisan!'' which won five awards at the 2004 Citra Award. He then made his feature film directorial debut with the romantic comedy '' Joni's Promise'' in 2005, gaining a Best Director nomination at the 2005 Citra Award. Kediri Kingdom (also known as Panjalu) Javanese script : ꧋ꦥŋꦗꦭꦸ, was a ''Hindu-Buddhist'' Javanese Kingdom based in East Java from 1042 to around 1222. Leila Salikha Chudori (born December 12, 1962) is an Indonesian journalist and writer. She won the Southeast Asian Writers Award in 2020. Biography Leila Salikha Chudori was born December 12, 1962, in Jakarta and grew up there. She is the daughter of Muhammad Chudori. She studied at Trent University in Ontario, Canada, graduating in 1988. She worked for the magazines ''Jakarta Jakarta'' and '' Tempo''; the second magazine was banned by the New Order regime of President Suharto in 1994. The Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (), or BiFan, is an international film festival held annually in July in Bucheon, South Korea.
