Kakinada Rural Assembly constituency is a constituency in Kakinada district of Andhra Pradesh that elects representatives to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in India. It is one of the seven assembly segments of Kakinada Lok Sabha constituency. Pantham Venkateswara Rao is the current Member of Legislative Assembly (India), MLA of the constituency, having won the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from YSRCP party. As of 2019, there are a total of 249,011 electors in the constituency. The constituency was established in 2008, as per the ''Delimitation Orders (2008)''. The 2009 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election took place in April 2009, concurrently with the 2009 Indian general election. Kakinada
Kakinada (; formerly known as Cocanada) is a Port, port city and municipal corporation in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Situated along the Bay of Bengal, it serves as the headquarters of Kakinada district and is a prominent economic and cultural centre in the region.
