Kaithapram Damodaran
Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri, popularly known as Kaithapram, is a Malayalam lyricist, poet, music director, actor, singer, screenwriter, music therapist and performer of Carnatic music. He debuted with the movie Ennennum Kannettante in 1986. He won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Lyricist two times. He was awarded India's fourth-highest civilian honour Padma Shri in 2021 by the Government of India for his contribution to the field of art. Kannur
Kannur (), formerly known in English as Cannanore, is a city and Municipal corporation (India), municipal corporation in the state of Kerala, India. It is the administrative headquarters of the Kannur district and situated north of the major port city and commercial hub Kochi and south of the major port city and a commercial hub, Mangalore. Kaithapram Viswanathan
Kaithapram Vishwanathan Namboothiri (1963 – 29 December 2021) was an Indian musician and music director. He was awarded Kerala State Film Award for Best Background Music in 2001 for his background music for Kannaki (film), Kannaki. Life and career Viswanathan was born in Kaithapram village in Payyanur Taluk of Kannur district in 1963 to Kannadi Kesavan Namboothiri (A Carnatic musician and a disciple of Chembai, Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar) and Adithi Antharjanam as their youngest child. His eldest brother, Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri, is a lyricist and a poet. An alumnus of Thiruvananthapuram Music College, Nambudiri handled the orchestra for his brother's songs in Jayaraj's Desadanam. He made his debut with Kaliyattam, directed by Jayaraj. Kannur District
Kannur () is one of the 14 Districts of Kerala, districts along the west coast in the state of Kerala, India. The city of Kannur is the district headquarters and gives the district its name. The old name, Cannanore, is the anglicized form of the Malayalam name "Kannur". Payyanur
Payyanur (), is a municipal town and a taluk, a sub-district administrative unit, in the Kannur district of Kerala, India. Payyanur is the first municipality in Kerala to establish libraries in all its wards. On 10 March 2018, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated Payyanur as the fifth taluk in the district. Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavatar (born Vaidyanatha Iyer, 28 August 1896 – 16 October 1974) was an Indian Carnatic music singer from Kerala. The Kerala State Film Award for Best Lyricist is an honour, begun in 1969, presented annually at the Kerala State Film Awards of India to a lyricist for best lyrics in a Malayalam cinema, Malayalam film. Until 1997, the awards were managed directly by the Department of Information and Public Relations (Kerala), Department of Information and Public Relations of the Government of Kerala. ''Ennennum Kannettante'' () is a 1986 Indian Malayalam-language romance film, written and directed by Fazil, starring newcomers Sangeet Pillai and Sonia G. Nair. The film won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Film with Popular Appeal and Aesthetic Value for the year 1986. Srividya won the Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Actress also for this film.
