Kadamba Kanana Swami
Kadamba Kanana Swami (; 1953–2023) was a senior member and initiating guru of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). Born on April 12, 1953, in the town of Heemstede, near Amsterdam, Kadamba Kanana Swami ventured to India on a quest to seek out a greater meaning to life. He joined ISKCON's Vrindavan temple, Krishna Balaram Mandir, in 1978, serving in various managerial roles, and went on to become temple president from 1990 to 1995. In the 1980s, Kadamba Kanana Swami began visiting Australia and Belgium, developing a long-standing relationship with the local communities there. He oversaw the construction of ISKCON founder-acharya A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada's ''pushpa samadhi'' mandir (memorial shrine) in Mayapur, India, and was a member of the Mayapur Administrative Council, the committee that oversees the daily management of the project from 1985 to 1990. INS ''Kadamba'' or Naval Base Karwar is an Indian Navy base located near Karwar in Karnataka. The base, which was commissioned on 31 May 2005, is being developed under the codename, Project Seabird. Kadamba Transport Corporation
Kadamba Transport Corporation (Konkani language, Konkani: कदंब येरादारी म्हामंडळ), abbreviated as KTC, is a Government of Goa road transport undertaking. It was set up in 1980 by then Chief Minister Pratapsingh Rane. Goa has long been dependent on privatised bus-transport, and the blue-and-red-and-white Kadamba buses are an exception to this rule. While the KTC has provided transport and connectivity to Goa's main towns and rural hinterland, it has also, in recent years, faced charges of mismanagement, politicisation and corruption in some of its deals. The Kadamba script is the first writing system devised specifically for writing Kannada, and Telugu language. The Kadamba script is also known as ''Pre-Old-Kannada script.'' Kadamba Simmons (7 May 1974 – 13/14 June 1998) was a British actress and model. Simons had appeared in advertisements for the brands Martini and Pantene. In mid-June 1998, Simmons' dead body was discovered hanging in the shower of a London flat. She had been strangled to death and then hanged by a leather strap. ''Kadamba'' is a 2004 Indian Kannada-language action drama film starring Vishnuvardhan, Bhanupriya and Naveen Krishna. The film is directed and written by director Suresh Krissna, making his debut in Kannada cinema and features soundtrack by Deva. The film is inspired by the 1974 Tamil movie '' Thanga Pathakkam''. The Kadamba dynasty were an ancient royal family from modern Karnataka, India, that ruled northern Karnataka and the Konkan from Banavasi in present-day Uttara Kannada, Uttara Kannada district in India.
