Kentucky Route 445 (KY 445) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The highway travels through mostly urban areas of Campbell County. Most of its length is in the city limits of Fort Thomas, though the eastern segment is on the northern edges of Cold Spring. Route description KY 445 begins at an intersection with KY 8 (Mary Ingles Highway) in the northern part of Cold Spring, within the northern part of Campbell County. It travels to the northwest along the Ohio River along a former section of KY-8. After crossing under I-275, it turns west along River Road and continues into Fort Thomas. Cold Spring is a home rule-class city in Campbell County, Kentucky, in the United States. The population was 5,912 at the 2010 census, up from 3,806 at the 2000 census. Fort Thomas is a home rule-class city in Campbell County, Kentucky, United States, on the southern bank of the Ohio River and the site of an 1890 US Army post. Kentucky Route 8
Kentucky Route 8 is a east–west state highway divided into two distinct segments across northern Kentucky. The western terminus of the route is at KY 237 near Francisville. The eastern terminus is at U.S. Route 23 in South Portsmouth. The two distinct segments of this route were not meant to be connected together. KY 8 from its west end in Boone County to Augusta in Bracken County is designated as a part of an identified corridor for bikes named the Ramblin' River Tour by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO). Interstate 275 (I-275) is an highway in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky that forms a complete beltway around the Cincinnati metropolitan area and includes a part in a state (Indiana) not entered by the parent route. It had been the only auxiliary Interstate that enters three states, but that changed in July 2018 when I-295 in Delaware and New Jersey was extended into Pennsylvania. Concurrency (road)
A concurrency in a road network is an instance of one physical roadway bearing two or more different route numbers. When two roadways share the same right-of-way, it is sometimes called a common section or commons. Other terminology for a concurrency includes overlap, coincidence, duplex (two concurrent routes), triplex (three concurrent routes), multiplex (any number of concurrent routes), dual routing or triple routing.
