“Movin'” (capitalized as “MOViN'”) is a brand name used for a variety of rhythmic AC and top 40 radio stations in numerous broadcast markets in the United States. The name is a registered trademark of Alan Burns & Associates, a radio consultancy firm based in Perdido Key, Florida. Format background This format started in the city of Seattle when hot AC outlet KLSY (Mix 92.5) became KQMV MOViN 92.5 on May 1, 2006. "MOViN" stations played an upbeat dance-leaning rhythmic adult contemporary format and used the same logo, which features a hue of green circles (except for Norfolk, whose hues are brown and dark orange). KZND airs an alternative rock format and is locally owned by Last Frontier Mediactive. Effective Radiated Power
Effective radiated power (ERP), synonymous with equivalent radiated power, is an IEEE standardized definition of directional radio frequency (RF) power, such as that emitted by a radio transmitter. It is the total power in watts that would have to be radiated by a half-wave dipole antenna to give the same radiation intensity (signal strength or power flux density in watts per square meter) as the actual source antenna at a distant receiver located in the direction of the antenna's strongest beam (main lobe). The Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc. outlet airs a contemporary hit radio radio format. KQMV has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 56,800 watts (60,000 with beam tilt). The transmitter is located in Issaquah on Tiger Mountain. The studios and offices are located at Newport Corporate Center in Bellevue.
