Basketball
Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. The 2005–06 SEB Korvpalli Meistriliiga was the 15th season of the Estonian basketball league and the second under the title sponsorship of SEB. Including the competition's previous incarnations, this was the 81st season of the Estonian men's basketball league. The 2012–13 G4S Korvpalli Meistriliiga was the 88th season of the Estonian basketball league and the fourth under the title sponsorship of G4S. Kalev/Cramo came into the season as defending champions of the 2011–12 KML season. The season started on 10 October 2012 and concluded on 17 May 2013 with Kalev/Cramo defeating TÜ/Rock 4 games to 0 in the finals to win their 6th Estonian League title. Rapla KK
Rapla KK, also known as Avis Utilitas Rapla for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball club based in Rapla, Estonia. The team plays in the Latvian–Estonian Basketball League. Their home arena is the Sadolin Sports Hall. History In 1996, Korvpalliklubi Rapla (Basketball Club Rapla) was founded as a division of the Rapla Sports School. Rapla Korvpallikool (Rapla Basketball School) was formed in 2004. In 2010, Rapla moved to the new Sadolin Sports Hall and were promoted to the top-tier Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML). Coached by Indrek Ruut, they finished the 2010–11 regular season in sixth place and reached the playoffs, where they were eliminated in the quarterfinals by TTÜ/Kalev, losing the series 1 game to 3. In 2011, Rapla joined the Challenge Cup competition of the regional Baltic Basketball League (BBL) for the 2011–12 season, but failed to advance past the group stage. BC Rakvere Tarvas
BC Rakvere Tarvas is a professional basketball club based in Rakvere, Estonia. The team plays in the Latvian–Estonian Basketball League. Their home arena is the Rakvere Sports Hall. Tarvas was relegated to the third Estonian division in 2017. On 19 June 2019, BC Rakvere Tarvas was again promoted to the Estonian-Latvian top tier league (Latvian–Estonian Basketball League). Rain Veideman
Rain Veideman (born 1 October 1991) is an Estonian professional basketball player for BC Tallinna Kalev of the Korvpalli Meistriliiga. He also represents the Estonian national basketball team internationally. Standing at a height of 1.92 m (6 ft 4 in), he primarily plays the shooting guard position. Professional career Veideman began playing basketball with sPORTKUNDA/Rakvere. He began his professional career in 2008, at the age of 17, with Kuremaa of the Korvpalli Meistriliiga. Kuremaa finished the 2008–09 season in last place, despite Veideman averaging 10.9 points per game. In 2009, he transferred to Rakvere Tarvas.
