Kisan People
The Kisan are a tribal group found in Odisha, West Bengal and Jharkhand. They are traditional farmers and a food gathering people. They speak Kisan, a dialect of Kurukh language, Kurukh, as well as Odia language, Odia and Sambalpuri language, Sambalpuri. The tribe mainly lives in northwestern Odisha, in the districts of Sundergarh district, Sundergarh, Jharsuguda district, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur district, Sambalpur. Other populations live in Malda district in western West Bengal and Latehar district, Latehar and Gumla district, Gumla districts of western Jharkhand. They also reside in Nepal, Nepal's Jhapa District, Jhapa district in small number(around 1000). Culture Marriage The Kisan community practise endogamy and exogamy. Kisaan
''Kisaan'' () is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Puneet Sira, starring Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Jackie Shroff, Dia Mirza and Nauheed Cyrusi. Released on 20 March 2009 to praise for Sohail Khan's performance but criticism for the story and music, the film was a commercial failure. Plot Widower farmer Dayal Singh, based in Palheri in the District of Chandigarh, witnesses the exploitation of farmers at the hands of Zamindars. He decides to send his elder son, Aman, to the city to study and become a lawyer, while his second son, Jiggar, would live with him and assist him in farming. Years later, the district gets a visit from Sohan Seth, who wants to buy the farm and turn the area into a commercial zone. Aman returns home and is able to join hands with his father and brother in advising the locales against Sohan. Kisan (Arabic: كيسان) is a Palestinian village located in the Bethlehem Governorate of the State of Palestine, in the southern West Bank. In 2017, its population was 560, according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics. The village came under Israeli occupation after the 1967 Six-Day War. Israel has constructed the Separation Wall across Kisan, confiscating 65.5% of the village total area for Israeli settlements. The remaining area of the village is surrounded by the Wall, Israeli military installations and several illegal Israeli settlements and outposts, including Ma'ale Amos, Mitzpe Shalem and Abei Hanahal, constructed on large areas of private land expropriated from Palestinian owners.
