Kisan (Palestine)
Kisan (Arabic: كيسان) is a Palestinian village located in the Bethlehem Governorate of the State of Palestine, in the southern West Bank. In 2017, its population was 560, according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics. The village came under Israeli occupation after the 1967 Six-Day War. Israel has constructed the Separation Wall across Kisan, confiscating 65.5% of the village total area for Israeli settlements. The remaining area of the village is surrounded by the Wall, Israeli military installations and several illegal Israeli settlements and outposts, including Ma'ale Amos, Mitzpe Shalem and Abei Hanahal, constructed on large areas of private land expropriated from Palestinian owners. Arabic Script

The West Bank is located on the western bank of the Jordan River and is the larger of the two Palestinian territories (the other being the Gaza Strip) that make up the State of Palestine. The West Bank, including East Jerusalem, has been under military occupation by Israel since 7 June 1967, when Israeli forces captured the territory, then ruled by Jordan, during the Six-Day War. Mitzpe Shalem
Mitzpe Shalem () is an Israeli settlement and former kibbutz in the eastern West Bank. Located near Highway 90 about north of Ein Gedi and north of the Green Line about 1 km from the western shores of the Dead Sea, it is the southernmost community under the jurisdiction of Megilot Regional Council. In it had a population of . It was established in 1970 on land belonging to the Palestinian Bedouin village of ‘Ayn Trayba. Ma'ale Amos (, lit ''Ascent of Amos'') is an Israeli settlement organized as a community settlement in the southern West Bank. Located 20 km southeast of Jerusalem, at an elevation of 725 meters above sea level, it falls under the jurisdiction of Gush Etzion Regional Council. In it had a population of . Israeli Settlement
Israeli settlements, also called Israeli colonies, are the civilian communities built by Israel throughout the Israeli-occupied territories. They are populated by Israeli citizens, almost exclusively of Israeli Jews, Jewish identity or ethnicity, and have been constructed on lands that Israel has militarily occupied since the Six-Day War in 1967. The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS; ) is the official statistical institution of Palestine. Its main task is to provide credible statistical figures at the national and international levels. It is a state institution that provides service to the governmental, non – governmental and private sectors in addition to research institutions and universities. It is established as an independent statistical bureau. The PCBS publishes the ''Statistical Yearbook of Palestine'' and the ''Jerusalem Statistical Yearbook'' annually.
