KHEY (1380 kHz) is a Fox Sports Radio AM affiliate in the El Paso, Texas, United States, area. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. The station is licensed to broadcast in HD radio, but does not currently broadcast in HD. History KHEY, originally KTSM, is the oldest radio station in El Paso. On June 30, 1929, W. R. Bledsoe and W. T. Blackwood were issued a construction permit for KTSM by the Federal Radio Commission, with the station becoming fully licensed on August 6, 1929. Initially operated by the Tri-state Music Company, it made its debut broadcast on August 22, 1929. The original studios were in the historic Hotel Paso del Norte on Sheldon Court at South Santa Fe Street. State Highway 20 (SH 20) is a highway maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) that runs from New Mexico State Road 460 at the state line between Texas and New Mexico at Anthony in El Paso County to Interstate 10 at McNary in Hudspeth County. It largely follows a former alignment of U.S. Route 80. The route passes through the city of El Paso as well as suburban and rural farming communities along the Rio Grande. Franklin Mountains (Texas)
__NOTOC__ The Franklin Mountains of Texas () are a small range long, wide that extend from El Paso, Texas, north into New Mexico. The Franklins were formed due to crustal extension related to the Cenozoic Rio Grande rift. Although the present topography of the range and adjoining basins is controlled by extension during rifting in the last 10 million years, faults within the range also record deformation during the Laramide orogeny, between 85 and 45 million years ago. The highest peak is North Franklin Peak at . Much of the range is part of the Franklin Mountains State Park. The mountains are composed primarily of sedimentary rock with some igneous intrusions. Geologists refer to them as tilted-block fault mountains and in them can be found 1.25 billion-year-old Precambrian rocks, the oldest in Texas.
