KGOW (1560 AM broadcasting, AM) is a Vietnamese language terrestrial Full-service radio, full service radio station based in Houston, Houston, Texas, United States, owned by Gow Media, LLC. KGOW's programming schedule is leased to a third party group that utilizes the broadcast day to air Vietnamese focused programming for southwest Houston, Bellaire, and the areas in southwest Harris County where 1560's signal is strongest. Viet Radio programming is simulcasted on 1480 KNGO Dallas. The daytime transmitter site is located in Lochridge, Texas, across from Brazos Bend State Park. The nighttime transmitter site is in western Harris County, Texas, Harris County, halfway between Katy, Texas and Hockley, Texas. Lochridge, Texas
Lochridge is an unincorporated community located in Brazoria County, Texas, United States. It formerly had a distinct community. It is located within the Greater Houston metropolitan area. History Lochridge began with a farm and a grocery store. A post office was established at Lochridge in 1913, with Blackburn Lochridge as postmaster. He later built a gin and sent telephone service to the area and died in 1929. His son Tom maintained the only business in the area until his mother died and moved to Rosharon. There were several scattered houses in the area, alongside the post office, in the 1930s. Lochridge no longer found representation in the Census by 1950. Geography Lochridge is located on Texas State Highway 1462, west of Rosharon in northwestern Brazoria County. Education Angleton Independent School District operates schools in the area. KNAL (93.3 FM; ''93.3 The Wolf'') is a radio station licensed to Port Lavaca, Texas, United States, and serves Victoria and the Gulf Coast area. The station is currently owned by Victoria Radioworks, LLC., and airs a country music format. History KNAL was originally proposed by Daniel Andrus, who owned the AM facility in Port Lavaca, 1560 KGUL, under the licensee name of Calhoun County Broadcasting. The facility signed on as the FM sister to KGUL on April 13, 1978, as KGUL-FM. The original transmission site was located on U.S. Highway 87, 1.5 miles west of Port Lavaca, Texas, and a main studio location at 213 Colorado Street in Port Lavaca.
