KFBR (defunct)
KFBR was a radio station on 1340 AM serving Nogales, Arizona. It operated from 1967 to 1993 and was the successor to KNOG, which broadcast on the same frequency from 1948 to 1965. KNOG was the first radio station in Nogales, Arizona, and for its entire existence until 1978, KNOG/KFBR was the only English-language radio station in the city. Nogales (English: or , ; ) is a city in Santa Cruz County, Arizona. The population was 20,837 at the 2010 census and estimated 20,103 in 2019. Nogales forms part of the larger Tucson–Nogales combined statistical area, with a total population of 1,027,683 as of the 2010 Census. The city is the county seat of Santa Cruz County. CBS Radio was a radio broadcasting company and radio network operator owned by CBS Corporation and founded in 1928, with consolidated radio station groups owned by CBS and Westinghouse Broadcasting/Group W since the 1920s, and Infinity Broadcasting since the 1970s. The broadcasting company was sold to Entercom (now known as Audacy, Inc.) on November 17, 2017. Although CBS's involvement in radio dates back to the establishment of the original CBS Radio Network in 1927, the most recent radio division was formed by the 1997 acquisition of Infinity Broadcasting by CBS owner Westinghouse. KRDX
KRDX is an oldies radio station that serves Tucson, Arizona. KRDX broadcasts on the frequency of 103.7 MHz and is licensed to broadcast from Corona de Tucson, Arizona. Due to the station's ERP of 910 watts and first adjacent channel to Hot 98.3 (KOHT), interference problems can be heard in the northwestern parts of Tucson as well as sporadically through Tucson. History KAYN began operating in 1977 as the first FM radio station in Nogales, Arizona. It was owned by Norman and Eva Graham and broadcast with 215 watts ERP on 98.3 MHz. KTAR (620 AM) is a radio station in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. Owned and operated by Bonneville International, it currently is a sports radio station airing network programming from ESPN Radio. The studios are located in north Phoenix near Piestewa Peak, and the station broadcasts with 5,000 watts from a transmitter site near the corner of 36th Street and Thomas Road. KTAR was established in 1922 as KFAD, owned by the McArthur brothers, and became one of just two stations in Phoenix (alongside KOY) from the early 1920s through 1940. Havre ( ) is the county seat and largest city in Hill County, Montana, United States. Havre is nicknamed the crown jewel of the Hi-Line. It is said to be named after the city of Le Havre in France. Eloy, Arizona
Eloy is a city in Pinal County, Arizona, United States, approximately northwest of Tucson and about southeast of Phoenix. According to the U.S. Census estimates in 2019, the population of the city is 19,625. History In 1880, as tracks were being laid for the Southern Pacific Railroad, a small number of boxcars were used as a camp for railroad workers. It was discovered that cotton could be grown in the area's climate. In 1902, the Southern Pacific Railroad named the area train stop Eloy, an acronym for East Line Of Yuma. Alternately, there is a legend that the area was initially called Eloi, after a railroad employee looked around at the barren desert and said, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"
