K. Bhaskaran Nair
K. Bhaskaran Nair (25 August 1913 – 8 June 1982) was a Malayalam language writer from Kerala, India who writes mainly in the genre of scientific literature. He was also noted as a literary critic, essayist, and educationist. In 1971 he was awarded Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Literary Criticism. Biography Bhaskaran Nair was born on 25 August 1913, to Aykkareth Narayanapilla who was a surveyor in the revenue department and Karthayani Amma in Idayaranmula village in present-day Aranmula, Pathanamthitta district. His primary education was at Vaikom, his father's place of work. After passing 10th class from Chengannur High School in 1929, he done his higher education in Thiruvananthapuram. After graduating from Madras with first rank in Zoology, he joined then Travancore University as a research student in zoology. Aranmula
Aranmula is a temple town in the state of Kerala, India. It is known as the cultural capital of Pathanamthitta district, located at a distance of around 116 km from Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala, it is situated on the banks of the river Pampa. Kerala Sasthra Sahithya Parishad (KSSP) () is a prominent science and literature organization based in the Indian state of Kerala. It was founded in 1962 with the aim of promoting scientific temper, Rationality, rational thinking, and a scientific approach to societal issues. The organization has played a significant role in popularizing science and scientific knowledge among the general public, particularly in the Malayalam-speaking region. Malayali People
The Malayali people (; also spelt Malayalee and sometimes known by the demonym Keralite) are a Dravidian languages, Dravidian ethnolinguistic group originating from the present-day state of Kerala and Union Territory of Lakshadweep in India, occupying its southwestern Malabar coast. They form the majority of the population in Kerala and Lakshadweep. They are predominantly native speakers of the Malayalam language, one of the eleven classical languages of India. Sathya Sai Baba
Sathya Sai Baba (born Ratnakaram Sathyanarayana Raju; 23 November 192624 April 2011) was an Indian godman, guru and philanthropist. At the age of 14, he claimed to be the reincarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba and left his home saying "my devotees are calling me, I have my work". Sathya Sai Baba's followers have attributed to him a range of miraculous abilities, including the materialisation of '' Vibhuti'' (holy ash) and other small objects such as rings, necklaces, and watches. Kumaran Asan
Mahakavi Kumaran Asan (12 April 1871 – 16 January 1924) was a poet of Malayalam literature, Indian social reformer and a philosopher. He is known to have initiated a revolution in Malayalam poetry during the first quarter of the 20th century, transforming it from the metaphysical to the lyrical and his poetry is characterised by its moral and spiritual content, poetic concentration and dramatic contextualisation.
