Just Lippe
Just Lippe (13 January 1904 – 24 March 1978) was a Norwegian journalist and politician for the Communist Party of Norway, Communist Party. He was born in Bergen as a son of Jakob von der Lippe (1870–1954). He was related to von der Lippes (as follows): brothers Frits von der Lippe, Frits and Jens von der Lippe, Jens, brother-in-law Margrethe von der Lippe, Margrethe, grandson of Conrad Fredrik von der Lippe, Conrad Fredrik, great-grandson of Bishop Jacob von der Lippe, Jacob and first cousin once removed of Admiral Jakob von der Lippe, Jakob and whaler Anton Barth von der Lippe, Anton. He joined the Norwegian Labour Party in 1921, but joined the Communist Party when it split from Labour. In 1927 he was imprisoned (five weeks of Remand (detention), detention, without conviction) together with Henry W. Kristiansen, Otto Luihn and Albin Eines, after a police raid in the party offices. Young Communist International
The Young Communist International was the parallel international youth organization affiliated with the Communist International (Comintern). History International socialist youth organization before World War I After failed efforts to form an international association of socialist youth organizations in 1889 and 1904, in May 1907 a conference in Stuttgart, Germany convened to form the International Union of Socialist Youth Organisations (the ''Internationale Verbindung Sozialistischer Jugendorganisationen'', abbreviated IVSJO). IVSJO maintained its headquarters in Vienna and functioned as the youth section of the Second International. At its foundation the International Secretary of IVSJO was Hendrik de Man. ''Friheten'' ( en, italic=yes, Freedom) is a Norwegian language biweekly newspaper, published by the Norwegian Communist Party (NKP). History and profile ''Friheten'' was founded illegally in 1941 during the German occupation of Norway due to World War II. The founders were the members of the communist wing of the resistance movement. Arbeideren
''Arbeideren'' ("The Worker") was a daily newspaper published in Oslo, Norway. It was started on 2 November 1929 as the official party newspaper from the Communist Party. It lent its name from a Hamar-based newspaper of the same name, which had gone defunct on 4 October. More directly, it replaced ''Norges Kommunistblad'' which just had gone bankrupt. Its first editor was Arvid G. Hansen, who had been the last editor of ''Norges Kommunistblad''. He remained in the chair until 1931. Reinert Torgeirson was editor from 1931 to 1932, followed by Erling Bentzen. In 1934 he was fired for not following the directions of the Comintern, the superior organ of the Communist Party of Norway. Henry W. Kristiansen became the new editor-in-chief, having been deposed as party leader. The publication was irregular, sometimes it came daily, sometimes weekly.
