"Jump with Me" is the first single of the Dutch jumpstyle group Sheffield Jumpers, released on 28 August 2008. A music video was also produced for the single, featuring all the jumpers. Sheffield Jumpers
The Sheffield Jumpers are a dance troupe and group of musicians from Rotterdam, who practice the jumpstyle type of dancing and music. They are most well known with their performances with German band Scooter. The name "Sheffield Jumpers" came from H.P. Baxxter's own suggestion, because the Jumpers wanted a new identity, and until then were known as the "Scooter Jumpers". They gained popularity in the videos for "The Question Is What Is the Question?", " And No Matches", "Jumping All Over the World" and " Jump That Rock (Whatever You Want)". In August 2008, they released their first single " Jump with Me". The Sheffield Jumpers toured with Scooter during the 2008 Jumping All Over the World Tour, and during Clubland Live 2008. Jumpstyle is an electronic dance style and music genre popular in Western Europe, originally in Belgium. Jumpstyling is often referred to as "Jumpen": a combination of the English word 'Jump' and the Dutch and German suffix '-en' (meaning "to jump", or "jumping"). It originated in Belgium but gathered bigger popularity in their neighbouring country the Netherlands in the 2000s. History Jumpstyle, originally known simply as jump, was created in Belgium. It was a short-lived small genre that did not gain popularity in its original form. However, it came back to the public during the turn of the century, and fandom began increasing throughout Europe after undergoing significant changes in Germany in early 2003. Hans van Hemert (born 7 April 1945 in Voorburg, Netherlands) is a Dutch ASCAP award-winning record producer and songwriter. Mouth & MacNeal and Luv' are among the pop acts he produced. He also composed three songs for the Eurovision Song Contest. Biography His debut He started his career in 1965 when he worked at Phonogram Records and his relationship with this record company lasted until 1979. Pieter Cornelis "Piet" Souer (born 29 March 1948, Eindhoven) is a Dutch record producer, songwriter and arranger. His collaboration with acts (such as Luv', Mouth & MacNeal, Liesbeth List, Ramses Shaffy, American Gypsy, and Champagne) made him gain twenty two gold and platinum records', one Conamus Export Prize and one 'Outstanding Song Award', thanks to his composition "Too Young To Know", performed by Anita Meyer at World Popular Song Festival in Japan in 1981. Debut Piet Souer (a guitar and keyboard player) started his career as a member of The Valiants, a rock band from Eindhoven. Trojan Horse (Luv' Song)
"Trojan Horse" is the fifth single by the Dutch girl group Luv', released in autumn 1978 by Philips/ Phonogram Records. This million-seller appears on some editions of the group's debut album, With Luv' (1978), and was a successful hit record in a large part of continental Europe, Israel, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Argentina and New Zealand. It was a minor hit in Australia and Canada. The single was remixed in 2006, 2015 and 2022. Background This song is the follow-up single to " You're the Greatest Lover" and uses a bagpipe theme. The intro of this track was inspired by the famous "20th-Century Fox Fanfare" by Alfred Newman that accompanies the 20th Century Fox studio logo at the beginning of its productions. Thanks to this hit record, Luv' established itself as one of the most popular Dutch pop acts of the late 1970s. Luv' were a Dutch girl group that scored a string of hit records in Continental Europe (Benelux, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Spain, Denmark, Norway and Finland) as well as Israel, South Africa, Rhodesia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Argentina and Mexico in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The original members were Patty Brard, José Hoebee and Marga Scheide. In 1979, Luv' was 'Holland's best export act' and thus received the ' Conamus Export Prize'. ''Jumping All Over the World'' is the thirteenth studio album by German techno group Scooter, released in Germany in 2007. Five singles have been released from it: " The Question Is What Is the Question?", " And No Matches", " Jumping All Over the World", a remix of " I'm Lonely" and a new version of "Jump That Rock!" titled " Jump That Rock (Whatever You Want)" recorded with British rock group Status Quo. The album's original artwork features people performing Jumpstyle. A revised version of the album was released in the UK in 2008, their first album release in that country since '' The Stadium Techno Experience'' in 2003. It entered the UK Albums Chart at number 1, replacing Madonna's album '' Hard Candy'', and is their highest ever charting release there.
