Jump Ashin!
''Jump Ashin!'' is a Taiwanese film directed by Lin Yu-Hsien and stars Eddie Peng, Lawrence Ko, and Zaizai Lin. It is based on the true story of a gymnastics coach, Yu-Shin Lin, who is Lin Yu-Hsien’s brother, about his rebellious youth and the difficult comeback journey to pursue his dream as a gymnast. The film is a follow-up of Lin Yu-Hsien’s documentary ''Jump! Boys'' (2004) about the gymnastics team his brother coached in an elementary school in Yilan. Plot Ashin, a young man from Yilan in northern Taiwan, was a member of the school gymnastics team. He was talented and his coach had high hopes that he would become a great gymnast in the future. Knowing her son is slightly handicapped with one leg shorter than the other, Ashin’s mom pulled him out of the gymnastics team without telling him the reason why. Eddie Peng
Edward Peng Yu-Yan ( zh, c=彭于晏, poj=Phêⁿ Û-àn, p=Péng Yúyàn; born 24 March 1982) is a Taiwanese actor, singer and model. He is best known for starring in the films '' Hear Me'' (2009), '' Unbeatable'' (2013), '' Fleet of Time'' (2014), '' Operation Mekong'' (2016), '' Duckweed'' (2017), '' Wu Kong'' (2017), and '' Hidden Man'' (2018). In 2024, Peng starred in '' Black Dog'', which premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival and won the '' Un Certain Regard'' prize. Early life and education Peng was born in Penghu, Taiwan. He moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada at the age of thirteen. In 2000, he graduated from Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School. The Changchun Film Festival (中国长春电影节) is a biennial international film festival held in the Chinese city of Changchun. Ostensibly international, its award for best film, the Golden Deer has nevertheless primarily been awarded to Chinese and other East Asia-region films. It was first held in 1992 and was founded in part by the Changchun Film Studio (now the Changchun Film Studio Group Corporation). 6th Asian Film Awards
The 6th Asian Film Awards is an intra-continental annually-presented award ceremony hosted during the Hong Kong International Film Festival to honour the best Asian films of 2011. Awards were presented in 14 general categories. People's Choice Awards were also presented for Favorite Actor and Favorite Actress. In addition, three special awards were also given, the Lifetime Achievement Award, The Edward Yang New Talent Award and The Asian Film Award for 2011's Top Grossing Asian Film.
