The Rock Records Co., Ltd. () commonly known as Rock Records (), is a record label based in Taipei, Taiwan. Founded in the 1980s as the Rock Music Publishing (滾石有聲出版社; ) by Tuan Chung-tan and Tuan Chung-i, It is the largest record label in Chinese-speaking world and the second largest independent record label in Asia. Beside its headquarters in Taiwan, it also has locations in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia (acquired SCS in 1995 (Suara Cipta Sempurna, founded in the 1980s), South Korea and the Philippines. Nippon Crown
is a Japanese record label established as Crown Records on 6 September 1963. It is a spin-off of Nippon Columbia and is owned by karaoke maker Daiichikosho. The record label singles which topped the Oricon Singles Chart are Kaze's "22-Sai no Wakare" (1975), and Gackt's " Returner (Yami no Shūen)" (2007). Sandra Wright Shen
Sandra Wright Shen (仙杜拉), a world-renowned concert pianist, was born in Taipei, Taiwan. She received her Bachelor of Music in 1994 with a piano performance major and organ minor from the Peabody Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Ann Schein. In 1996, she completed her Master of Music in piano performance and also served as an Ear-Training graduate teaching assistant to Peabody professor Clinton Adams. She has performed in master classes with Jerome Lowenthal, André Watts, Lev Nauomov, and Rebecca Penneys and studied chamber music with Earl Carlyss. Wright Shen's passion for chamber music took her to Germany and Austria during the summers of 1995–1998, where she worked with the Alban Berg Quartet, Jörg Demus, and Grant Johannesen. Nine One One (band)
Nine One One () is a Taiwanese hip hop group from Taichung, Taiwan, composed of Daniel Hong Yu-hong (洪瑜鴻), Liao Chien-chih (廖建至), and Chern Hawyeu (陳皓宇). The group was formed on September 11, 2009, and began performing at temple festivals and night clubs. In 2016, the group was nominated for Best Group at the 27th Golden Melody Awards and was invited to perform at the venue. New Formosa Band
New Formosa Band () is a Taiwanese pop music ensemble. Its members include Bobby Chen and Ayugo Huang. The group was established in 1992 and are important musicians in the genres of Hakka and New Taiwanese Song. They released several albums in the 1990s which blended traditional Taiwanese folk music with pop elements. Sun Sheng Xi (; born 13 November 1990), also known as Shi Shi (), is a Taiwanese-South Korean singer, songwriter and record producer. Ayal Komod (born 2 May 1974), better known by his stage name A-Yue or Chang Chen-yue (), is an aboriginal Taiwanese rock and Hip-Hop musician, songwriter, singer and guitarist, and the frontman of his band, Free Night, also known as Free9. MCHotDog (; born April 10, 1978) is a Taiwanese rapping, rap artist and best known as “The Father of Taiwanese Hip Hop Music”.
