Julia de Laune Savage (born 2007) is an Australian-English actress. For her performance in the feature film '' Blaze'' she received the 2023 International Art Film Fest Blue Angel Award for Best Female Performance in a Feature Film and was nominated for the AACTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 12th AACTA Awards. In 2022 she was nominated for Best Actress in the 2022 Australian Film Critics Association Awards. In 2019, she appeared in the lead role of the Australian historical fantasy - narrated by Cate Blanchett. ''Blaze'' is a 2022 Australian drama film co-written and directed by Del Kathryn Barton and produced by Causeway Films. The film premiered in New York in the International Narrative Competition at the 2022 Tribeca Festival and was released in a limited theatrical release in Australia on August 27, 2022 and in the US in January 2023. The film received critical acclaim, with praise for the performance of its 13-year-old lead Julia Savage. Premise Twelve-year-old Blaze is the sole witness to the violent assault and rape of a young woman, Hannah, who subsequently dies. IFF Art Film, previously known as Artfilm and Art Film Fest, is an annual international film festival founded in Trenčianske Teplice, Slovakia in 1993, shortly after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia.
