Julia Bertram
Julia Bertram (born 1989) from Dernau in the German wine region of Ahr was crowned as the 64th German Wine Queen on 29 September 2012 in the town of Neustadt an der Weinstraße as the successor to Annika Strebel from the Rheinhessen wine region. The German Wine Princesses during her twelve-month reign were Natalie Henninger from Baden and Anna Hochdörffer from the Palatinate. Life Julia Bertram was born on 24 December 1989 and initially went to St. Martin's Primary School in Dernau and the ''Kloster Kalvarienberg'' grammar school in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. Subsequently, she underwent a placement at the vineyard of Ahr vintner, Werner Näkel, before studying viticulture and oenology, alongside her predecessor, in Geisenheim. Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler
Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler () is a spa town in the German Bundesland of Rhineland-Palatinate that serves as the capital of the Ahrweiler district. The A61 motorway connects the town with cities like Cologne and Mainz. Formed by the merging of the towns (now districts) of Bad Neuenahr and Ahrweiler in 1969, Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler consists of 11 such districts. Geography Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler rests in the Ahr valley (german: Ahrtal) on the left bank of the Rhine river in the north of Rhineland-Palatinate. Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler nestles in the Ahr Hills (german: Ahrgebirge). The highest hill in the area is the Häuschen at metres above sea level. Nadine Poss
Nadine Poss (born 1991), from Windesheim in the German wine region of Nahe, was chosen as the 65th German Wine Queen on 13 September 2013 in Offenburg as the successor to Julia Bertram from the Ahr wine region. She thus became the eighth German Wine Queen from the Nahe. The wine princesses during her twelve-month reign are Ramona Diegel (Rheinhessen) and Sabine Wagner (Rheingau). The German Wine Queen is traditionally crowned in the town of Neustadt an der Weinstraße. By exception that year the ceremony took place in Offenburg. The occasion was the 100th anniversary of the Baden Vintners' Association. Life Nadine Poss was born on 8 May 1991 and grew up in Windesheim in the county of Bad Kreuznach at her parents' vineyard, the ''Weingut Poss'', which is one of the leading Burgundy vineyards in the Nahe valley. The Ahr Wine Queen (german: Ahr-Weinkönigin) is a young woman from the German wine region of Ahr in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate who is elected for a year to represent and promote the wine industry of that region. The title has been awarded since 1951. Since 1973 she has been elected at the annual Wine Market of the Ahr (''Weinmarkt der Ahr''). Hitherto the queen had been chosen at various other ceremonies. Geisenheim is a town in the Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis in the ''Regierungsbezirk'' of Darmstadt in Hessen, Germany, and is known as ''Weinstadt'' (“Wine Town”), ''Schulstadt'' (“School Town”), ''Domstadt'' (“Cathedral Town”) and ''Lindenstadt'' (“Linden Tree Town”). The ''Augsburger Allgemeine Zeitung'' is a major German regional daily newspaper published since 1945.
