Juicio Final (1996)
''Juicio Final'' (1996) (Spanish for "Final Judgement" 1996) was the name used for two major professional wrestling shows, scripted and produced by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). The shows took place on December 6 and December 15, 1997 in Arena México, Mexico City, Mexico. The shows served as the year-end finale for CMLL before Arena México, CMLL's main venue, closed down for the winter for renovations and to host ''Circo Atayde''. The shows replaced the regular '' Super Viernes'' ("Super Friday") shows held by CMLL since the mid-1930s. The December 6 main event was a three-way ''Luchas de Apuestas'', or bet match, between El Hijo del Santo, Negro Casas and El Dandy. In the main event El Hijo del Santo ended up defeating El Dandy, forcing El Dandy to have all his hair shaved off. The show included three additional matches. José Casas Ruiz (born January 10, 1960) is a Mexican professional wrestler (called a ''Lucha libre, Luchador'' in Spanish language, Spanish) and professional wrestling trainer working for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) under the ring name Negro Casas. César Cuauhtémoc González Barrón (9 January 1968 – 11 May 2019) was a Mexican '' luchador enmascarado'' (masked wrestler). He was known best as Silver King, but also had an extensive stint as the third wrestler to portray the Black Tiger character. José Luis Rodríguez Arellano (born February 21, 1951) is a Mexican ''Lucha libre, Luchador Wrestling mask, Enmascarado'' (masked professional wrestler) who wrestles under the ring name Dos Caras (Spanish language, Spanish for "two faces"). José Luis Alvarado Nieves (March 19, 1963 – July 26, 2021) was a Mexican '' luchador'' best known under the ring name Brazo de Plata, a name he had used since his debut in 1977. He is also well known for his appearances in WWE as Super Porky. Just about any singles or melee match type can be adapted to tag teams; for example, hardcore tag team matches are commonplace. Genaro Jacobo Contreras (born September 19, 1949), better known by his ring name Ringo Mendoza, is a Mexican professional wrestling trainer and retired '' luchador'' (or professional wrestler) for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). Mendoza wrestled his last match in 2011, transitioning to being a full-time trainer instead. Joel Bernal Galicia (born December 6, 1965) is a Mexican retired '' Luchador'', or professional wrestler, better known under the ring name Olímpico. Olímpico is sometimes Anglicised as "Olympico", and means "Olympian" in Spanish. Starman (16 November 1974 – 23 September 2022) was a Mexican professional wrestler who was active as a '' tecnico'' in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) from 1996.
