Silver King (wrestler)
César Cuauhtémoc González Barrón (9 January 1968 – 11 May 2019) was a Mexican '' luchador enmascarado'' (masked wrestler). He was known best as Silver King, but also had an extensive stint as the third wrestler to portray the Black Tiger character. He was the son of luchador Dr. Wagner and the brother of Dr. Wagner Jr. González worked for many years with El Texano as the tag team "Los Cowboys", winning tag team championships in both Mexico and Japan. Black Tiger (professional Wrestling)
has been the persona used by seven different professional wrestlers in New Japan Pro-Wrestling as opponents of the four incarnations of Tiger Mask. The character is drawn from the original Japanese Tiger Mask anime. The trademark of the character is to always wear a mask and tights in an almost identical design to that of his perennial rival only with entirely black and silver coloring. Origins According to the storyline set forth by the original anime, Black Tiger is a wrestler trained and sent by a yakuza-like organisation called the Tiger's Cave. He is best known for his appearances with the World Wrestling Federation as Phil Lafon and with All Japan Pro Wrestling and Extreme Championship Wrestling under the ring name Dan Kroffat. Early life Lafon was born in Manitouwadge, Ontario, Canada, to his French-Canadian parents and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Dwight Douglas Furnas (December 11, 1959 – February 2012) was an American professional wrestler and powerlifter. He was an APF National and World Powerlifting Champion, who set multiple world records in the weight class. The UWA World Tag Team Championship is a tag team professional wrestling championship created by the Lucha libre, Mexican Universal Wrestling Association (UWA) and defended there until the UWA closed in 1995. After the UWA's closing, the title was inactive until 2008, when El Dorado Wrestling revived the title. On March 26, 2008, Kagetora and Kota Ibushi won the title in Tokyo, Japan at El Dorado's ''Eye of the Treasure'' event, defeating Kazuhiko Masada, Mazada and Kazushige Nosawa, Nosawa.
