José Carvalho (politician)
José Carvalho (born June 11, 1964 in Salvador, Brazil) is a Brazilian screenwriter, script doctor and dramaturgy professor. He has written scripts for the big and small screens since the early 90s. Some of his most well-known works include Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum, Bruna Surfistinha, Faroeste Caboclo and the classic soap opera Xica da Silva. Caio Blat de Oliveira (born 2 June 1980) is a Brazilian actor. Biography Blat was born in São Paulo, Brazil. He studied law at the University of São Paulo, the largest and one of the most prestigious universities in Brazil, but dropped out because of his acting career. Caio is cousin of the playwright Rogério Blat and actor Ricardo Blat. The surname Blat is of Catalan origin and means 'wheat'. João Guimarães Rosa (; 27 June 1908 – 19 November 1967) was a Brazilian novelist, short story writer, poet and diplomat. Rosa only wrote one novel, '' Grande Sertão: Veredas'' (known in English as ''The Devil to Pay in the Backlands''), a revolutionary text for its blend of archaic and colloquial prose and frequent use of neologisms, taking inspiration from the spoken language of the Brazilian backlands.
