Caio Blat
Caio Blat de Oliveira (born 2 June 1980) is a Brazilian actor. Biography Blat was born in São Paulo, Brazil. He studied law at the University of São Paulo, the largest and one of the most prestigious universities in Brazil, but dropped out because of his acting career. Caio is cousin of the playwright Rogério Blat and of the also actor Ricardo Blat. The surname Blat is of Catalan origin and means 'wheat'. Career Blat was discovered at age 8, when he accompanied his sisters to a test at an advertising agency, on their mother's initiative. He ended up being cast in a commercial and thereafter became a familiar face in advertising. He has participated in over 200 productions in various media. Self-taught, Blat never got a degree in Scenic Arts or finished the Law course he started. Blat has significant work in television, film and theater. Terra Nostra (telenovela)
''Terra Nostra'' ( en, Our Land) is a Brazilian telenovela, produced and broadcast by TV Globo in 1999. The telenovela is written by Benedito Ruy Barbosa and directed by Jayme Monjardim. The story is set in the late 19th century and takes place at a time when slaves were freed in Brazil and there was a need for workers, especially on Brazilian coffee fazendas (plantations). This partly resulted many Italians migrating to Brazil, looking for employment and a better life. Unlike many other telenovela stories, the characters are not larger than life in "Terra Nostra." Instead, they are everyday people who make ordinary decisions. Consequently, the viewers can relate to what is happening in the story. ''Você Decide'' (''You Decide'' / ''It's Your Call'') was an interactive television program broadcast on the Brazilian TV network Rede Globo from 1992 to 2000. During each episode special cases were presented, and viewers would decide the ending through phone votes. Broadcast history ''Você Decide'' is the second longest-running series of Rede Globo, with nine seasons and 323 episodes. ''Éramos Seis'' ("We Were Six") is a 1943 Brazilian novel by Maria José Dupré about a struggling middle-class family in São Paulo.
