Jostein Løfsgaard
Fredrik Jostein Løfsgaard (21 September 1923 – 27 May 2011) was a Norwegian academic executive. He was born in Flisa as a son of Kari and Arne Løfsgaard. He finished his secondary education in 1944 and graduated from university with the cand.jur. degree in 1949. He was a secretary at the Norwegian College of Agriculture and ''Norges Tannlegehøgskole'' before being hired as faculty secretary at the University of Oslo. He advanced via the positions of questor (financial executive) and secretary to being assistant university director from 1969. From 1987 to 1988 he served as university director. He was then a special adviser until his retirement in 1993. He was a board member of the Foundation for Student Life in Oslo from 1980 to 1987, and also of the University of Oslo International Summer School and Regneanlegget Blindern-Kjeller. Jostein Wilmann (born 15 July 1953) is a Norway, Norwegian former professional Bicycle road racing, road racing cyclist. His best performance came in the 1980 Tour de France, Tour de France of 1980, where he finished 14th overall. This is still the best result any Norwegian cyclist has achieved in the Tour de France general classification. He is also the only Norwegian cyclist to win the Tour de Romandie and the Setmana Catalana de Ciclisme, taking both victories in 1982. He is the father of racing cyclist Frederik Wilmann. Kåre Jostein Simonsen (born March 26, 1948) is a Norwegian bandoneonist. He has been a regular member of the Tango Concertino and Trio Troika in Trondheim, and now plays in ensembles Quinteto Nidaros ( piazzollaquintet - bandoneon, violin, electric guitar, piano and double bass) and Cholo tango duet/ trio. Biography Education Simonsen is basically self-taught musician from the early 60 - century with accordion as the main instrument. As early as 12 years old he accompanied Elisabeth Granneman on a show in Oppdal. In 1962 he formed, along with Harald Sæther on guitar and Harald Øiamo on percussion the dance orchestra Simonsens Trio. The trio disbanded in 1964. Jostein Pedersen (born 11 August 1959 in Dønna) is a Norwegian musical journalist and reporter, television commentator and "music intelligencia". He was the Norwegian commentator to the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994, and from 1996 to 2006. Since then he has covered the Song Contest on '' VG''s web TV channel. He lives in London, England. Jostein Nyhamar (23 September 1922 – 30 July 1993) was a Norwegian magazine editor, biographer and politician for the Labour Party. Life and career Jostein Nyhamar was born in Nedre Eiker on 23 September 1922. He edited the weekly magazine ''Aktuell'' from 1959 to 1974, and '' Forbrukerrapporten'' from 1974 to 1986. He has written a biography of Einar Gerhardsen as well as volume six of the series ''Arbeiderbevegelsens historie i Norge'', which covers the history of the Norwegian labour movement from 1965 to 1990. Jostein Nerbøvik (10 July 1938 – 18 March 2004) was a Norwegian historian. He was born in Volda Municipality, and took his cand.philol. degree at the University of Oslo. He first worked at Telemark University College, then at Volda University College. He was appointed professor there in 1993, having taken the dr.philos. degree and the University of Trondheim with the thesis ''Bygdefolkets krisehjelp 1925–35''. The opponents at the dispute were Tore Pryser and Hans Fredrik Dahl. Nerbøvik was also instrumental in establishing the Ivar Aasen Centre. Arne Jostein Ingebrethsen
Arne Jostein Ingebrethsen (9 July 1903 – 7 January 1945) was a Norwegian newspaper editor who was killed during the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany. His father Ingolf Ingebrethsen was a long-time editor of the newspaper ''Flekkefjordsposten''. After the German invasion of Norway, the newspaper showed an uncooperative attitude towards the authorities. For an article printed on 1 August 1940, Arne Jostein Ingebrethsen was arrested and was incarcerated at Møllergata 19 from 12 August to 14 October 1940. His father backed down as editor, and Ingebrethsen served as editor from 1941 to 1943. He was arrested again in 1943, and was imprisoned at Møllergata 19 from 14 July to 6 August, and then in Grini concentration camp until 13 November. He was then shipped to concentration camps on the European continent.
