Joshua Munzon
Joshua Eugene Richardson Munzon (born January 22, 1995) is a Filipino-American professional basketball player for the NorthPort Batang Pier of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Early life and collegiate career Joshua Eugene Munzon was born on January 15, 1995, in Long Beach, California with his father being Filipino. For his collegiate education, Munzon attended and graduated from the California State University in Los Angeles Prior to committing to the 3x3 variant of basketball, Munzon played competitive 5-a-side basketball. In college, he played for the Cal State LA Golden Eagles in the NCAA Division II. The PBA Season 46 draft (originally planned as the 2020 PBA rookie draft) was the 36th edition of the PBA draft. The league determined the drafting order based on the performance of the member teams from the 2020 season, with the team having the worst record picking first. In the 2020 Summer Olympics , eight teams qualified for the Olympic 3x3 men's basketball tournament. Format Three teams qualified based on the 2019 world ranking list. Japan, as the host nation, was guaranteed one spot. Three teams qualified through the 2020 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT). This was a 20-team tournament. NOCs already qualified through the ranking list were not eligible to play in the OQT. The 2019 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 season is the inaugural season of the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 basketball league. Teams 12 teams, many of which are from the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL), participated in the inaugural conference. For the Patriot's Cup, the second conference two foreign teams were invited to participate, VetHealth-Delhi 3BL from India and Moscow Inanomo from Russia. However Moscow will start playing in the second leg of the conference. The Thunder Pateros Hunters played in lieu of the Marikina Shoemasters in the first leg as a guest team. Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 is a professional 3-on-3 basketball league in the Philippines and is organized by the country's national basketball federation, the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP). Since the inception of the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 league in 2019 which is backed by Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI), multiple 3x3 team under the sponsorship of BAVI has been sent to the FIBA 3x3 Men's Pro Circuit which usually consists of the core of the winning team in a conference or tournament. The PBA Developmental League, or PBA D-League, is the Philippine Basketball Association's official minor league basketball organization. History The PBA D-League was conceptualized after the collapse of the proposed merger between the Philippine Basketball League (PBL) and Liga Pilipinas after the staging of the ''Tournament of the Philippines'' which was composed by PBL and Liga Pilipinas teams.
