Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 was a professional 3x3 (basketball), 3-on-3 basketball list of basketball leagues, league in the Philippines and was organized by the country's national basketball federation, the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP). It was formed in 2018 as a bid to get the Philippines to qualify for the 3x3 basketball event in the Summer Olympics. History In December 2018, Bounty Agro Ventures the company behind the roast chicken brand Chooks-to-Go, announced that it would be helping establish a 3-on-3 basketball league to be organized by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas. This followed the inclusion of the 3x3 variant of basketball being included as a medal event in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The Ynares Sports Arena is an indoor arena located in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines. The San Juan Knights (also abbreviated as SJK) are a Filipino professional basketball team based in San Juan. The team competes in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) as a member of the league's North Division. The team plays its home games at Playtime Filoil Centre. The team's first incarnation was established in 1999 as a member of the Metropolitan Basketball Association (MBA) and played there until 2001. The Makati Super Crunch was a Filipino professional basketball team based in Makati. The team last competed in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) from 2018 to 2023 and played its home games at Makati Coliseum. Gold and Company (Gold's) was a department store located in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska. The store was founded in 1915 and quickly grew into one of Lincoln's dominant retailers throughout the 20th century. Gold's merged with the Brandeis department store in 1964 and closed in 1980. Since the inception of the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 league in 2019 which is backed by Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI), multiple 3x3 team under the sponsorship of BAVI has been sent to the FIBA 3x3 Men's Pro Circuit which usually consists of the core of the winning team in a conference or tournament. 2020–21 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 Season
The 2020–21 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 season is the second season of the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 basketball league. It is also its first season as a professional league. Originally set to start in January 2020, the season was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was tentatively set to run from September and until in February 2021. Three conferences are planned with 12 teams participating in each tournament. However only one conference – the President's Cup in October 2020 was held. Venue The Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna serve as the sole venue of the league for the 2020-21 season. Players and staff will be confined in a bubble or isolation zone in Calamba for the duration of at least the President's Cup.
