Joshua Lemos
Joshua Lemos (born May 4, 1989) is a Canadian futsal player who plays as a goalkeeper for the Canada national team. He also plays professional indoor soccer for the Milwaukee Wave. Early life Lemos was born in Brampton, Ontario to an Uruguayan father and a Canadian mother and raised in neighbouring Toronto. Club Career Early career Lemos ventured abroad into South America to play with several youth teams initially in 2004 with Uruguay's Liverpool F.C.. He also played with the under-16 sides of Deportivo AELU in Peru and also with Cienciano. In 2006, he returned to southern Ontario to play in the province's regional circuit the Canadian Soccer League with Italia Shooters. He had another season in the CSL in 2008 where he played with North York Astros. Following his stint with North York, he played abroad in the Nicaraguan top league with Diriangén FC. Baltimore Blast
The Baltimore Blast is an American professional indoor soccer team based in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The team is a part of the Major Arena Soccer League. The team has won 10 championships since it was founded in 1980. Beginning with the 2017-2018 season, home games have been played at Towson University's SECU Arena. The Blast previously played at Royal Farms Arena in downtown Baltimore. 2021 CONCACAF Futsal Championship
The 2021 CONCACAF Futsal Championship was the 7th edition of the CONCACAF Futsal Championship, the quadrennial international futsal championship organised by CONCACAF for the men's national teams of the North, Central American and Caribbean region. The tournament was originally scheduled to be held in Guatemala City, Guatemala between 1–10 May 2020. However, on 19 March 2020, CONCACAF announced the decision to postpone the tournament due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 11 February 2021, CONCACAF confirmed Guatemala as host and that the dates are going to be May 3–9, 2021. Same as previous editions, the tournament acted as the CONCACAF qualifiers for the FIFA Futsal World Cup. The 2016 CONCACAF Futsal Championship was the 6th edition of the CONCACAF Futsal Championship, the quadrennial international futsal championship organised by CONCACAF for the men's national teams of the North, Central American and Caribbean region. United States Men's National Futsal Team
The United States national futsal team represents the United States at international futsal competitions. It is governed by the United States Soccer Federation and the U.S. Soccer, affiliated with CONCACAF. The U.S. Futsal Federation was founded in 1981 and the first international futsal match played by the U.S. National Futsal Team was in May 1984 in Nanaimo, Canada where the United States won, 6–5. The first international futsal match in the United States was held in December, 1985, at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, California. The U.S. select team, defeated Australia, 9–5. The 2012 CONCACAF Futsal Championship was the fifth edition of the main international futsal tournament of the North and Central America and the Caribbean region.
