Joseph Bol Chan was a politician from South Sudan and Member of Council of States of South Sudan who served as Speaker of Council of States of South Sudan. Personal life Bol was born in 1949 in Lol village in Fashoda country, Upper Nile state. He had a university degree from Hungary. He worked as a journalist. Sudan People's Liberation Movement
The Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM; , ''Al-Ḥarakat ash-Shaʿbiyyat liTaḥrīr as-Sūdān'') is a political party in South Sudan. It was initially founded as the political wing of the Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA; a key belligerent of the Second Sudanese Civil War) in 1983. Upper Nile is a state in South Sudan. The White Nile flows through the state, giving it its name. The Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA, ), also known as the Naivasha Agreement, was an accord signed on 9 January 2005, by the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) and the Government of Sudan.
