Doetinchem
Doetinchem (; Low Saxon: ) is a city and municipality in the east of the Netherlands. It is situated along the Oude IJssel (Old IJssel) river in a part of the province of Gelderland called the Achterhoek. 2015–16 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup
The 2015–2016 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup events and season-long competition will take place between 16 September 2015 and 24 January 2016, organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). With CrossVegas, this season featured the first World Cup cross outside Europe. Defending champions are Kevin Pauwels in the men's competition and Sanne Cant in the women's competition. Points distribution Points are awarded to all eligible riders each race. The top ten finishers receive points according to the following table: Riders finishing in positions 11 to 50 also receive points, going down from 40 points for place 11 by one point per place to 1 point for 50th place. The Cyclo-cross Zonhoven is a cyclo-cross race in Zonhoven, Belgium. Established in 1958, it was held in December till 1966 after which the race ceased to exist. In 2005 the event was restarted, this time in October. In the 2009–2010 season it became part of the Superprestige The Cyclo-cross Superprestige is a season-long cyclo-cross competition, consisting of around 8 rounds throughout the season in Belgium and the Netherlands. The 2016–2017 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup – also known as the Telenet UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup for sponsorship reasons – was a season long cyclo-cross competition, organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The competition took place between 21 September 2016 and 22 January 2017, over a total of nine events. The defending champions were Wout van Aert in the men's competition and Sanne Cant in the women's competition. Van Aert was able to defend his World Cup title with a round to spare, not finishing any lower than second in the seven races – four wins and three second-place finishes – prior to his crowning. His main rival Mathieu van der Poel was the only other rider to take victories prior to the title being won, taking three straight wins during the season, but he missed several meetings, including the Memorial Romano Scotti in Rome, which allowed van Aert to take the title.
