Jonathan Erlichman
Jonathan Erlichman, nicknamed "J-Money", is a Canadian professional baseball coach (baseball), coach for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball (MLB). He is the first analytics coach in MLB. Career Erlichman grew up in the Yonge-Eglinton area in Toronto, Ontario. His only experience as a baseball player was in t-ball at the age of five. At age 13, Erlichman read ''Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game, Moneyball'', which cultivated his interest in baseball analytics. He attended the prestigious Upper Canada College for his secondary education, where he further developed his mathematical prowess. Erlichman earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Princeton University in 2012. Erlichman then worked as an intern for the Toronto Blue Jays. In baseball, a number of coaches assist in the smooth functioning of a team. They are assistants to the manager, who determines the starting lineup and batting order, decides how to substitute players during the game, and makes strategy decisions. Beyond the manager, more than a half dozen coaches may assist the manager in running the team. Essentially, baseball coaches are analogous to assistant coaches in other sports, as the baseball manager is to the head coach. 2020 World Series
The 2020 World Series was the championship series of Major League Baseball's 2020 season. The 116th World Series was a best-of-seven-playoff between the American League (AL) champion Tampa Bay Rays and the National League (NL) champion Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers defeated the Rays to win the series in six games for their first championship since 1988. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire series was played at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, from October 20 to October 27, with the ballpark's seating capacity limited to 25 percent (11,500 fans). Michael Anthony Cammalleri (born June 8, 1982) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who played 15 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for five different teams.
