Johnny Saint
John Miller (born 29 June 1941), better known by his ring name Johnny Saint, is an English retired professional wrestler. Renowned for his technical wrestling ability, he gained prominence in the British wrestling scene during the mid-to-late 20th century, particularly through his appearances on '' World of Sport''. Over the course of his career, Saint held the World Lightweight Championship a record ten times, along with multiple reigns as British and European Lightweight Champion. He competed internationally, including later appearances in the United States and Japan. Following his in-ring retirement, he worked as a trainer and served as the general manager of WWE’s now-defunct NXT UK brand from 2018 until its closure in 2022. Failsworth is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester, England, north-east of Manchester and south-west of Oldham. He has performed primarily in the Chikara (professional wrestling), Chikara professional wrestling promotion, where he started his career in May 2002. Rhyl
Rhyl (; , ) is a seaside town and community in Denbighshire in Wales. The town lies on the coast of North Wales, at the mouth of the River Clwyd. To the west is Kinmel Bay and Towyn, to the east Prestatyn, and to the south-east Rhuddlan and St Asaph. At the 2011 Census, Rhyl had a population of 25,149, with Rhyl–Kinmel Bay having 31,229. Bridge (grappling)
The bridge is a grappling move performed from a supine position (lying down, face-up). It involves lifting the pelvis off the ground so that the body weight is supported on the shoulders (or head) at one end and on the feet at the other. This move is used in wrestling and other grappling and groundfighting sports, often combined with a twisting motion, to dislodge or flip an opponent who has established a position on top. In professional wrestling, a pin is a move where a wrestler holds an opponent's shoulders to the mat in an attempt to score a fall. A pinfall is a common victory condition, where the attacker pins an opponent and the referee makes a three count before the opponent gets released from the pin. Background The origin of the pinfall is the pin from amateur wrestling, whereby pinning an opponent to the mat will result in an automatic victory despite any points scored. However, while an amateur wrestling pin need be only one or two seconds, the count in professional wrestling is based on the referee's arm gestures, regardless of how much actual time elapses, and is to three slaps of the mat. WWE Performance Center (WWE PC) is a group of professional wrestling schools owned by American company WWE. They serve as tryout and training facilities for WWE, and also contain sports science and medical facilities as well as live events and production studios. Admiral-Lord Mountevans Rules
Admiral-Lord Mountevans rules were a set of professional wrestling rules mainly used in the United Kingdom in the second half of the 20th century. Introduced in 1947, they were named after Edward Evans, 1st Baron Mountevans, who ordered a unified set of rules written up for professional wrestling in the British Isles to re-legitimise professional wrestling in the eyes of the public and the press. Professional wrestling in the United Kingdom had become discredited before World War II due to the prominence of the preceding " All In" style, which came to emphasise an "anything goes" style of presentation.
