John Mallory (died 1619)
Sir John Mallory of Studley Royal (1555 – 14 August 1619) was an English politician. He was the son of Sir William Mallory of Hutton Conyers, Yorkshire who was the first in the family to become an MP, shortly after the Tudor monarchs began to modernise the parliamentary system. In January 1569 there were plans for Mary, Queen of Scots to spend a night at Hutton Conyers with William Mallory or at Norton Conyers, as she travelled between Bolton Castle and Tutbury Castle.Joseph Bain, ''Calendar State Papers Scotland'', vol. 2 (Edinburgh, 1900), p. 605 no. 959. John Mallory succeeded his father in 1603 and was knighted the same year. He was elected to Parliament for Thirsk in 1601 and for Ripon in 1604. Studley Royal
Studley Royal Park is an estate in North Yorkshire, England. The site has an area of and includes an 18th-century landscaped garden; the ruins of Fountains Abbey; Fountains Hall, a Jacobean architecture, Jacobean mansion; and the Victorian St Mary's, Studley Royal, St Mary's church, designed by William Burges. Studley Royal House, around which the park and gardens were designed, burned down in 1946. The park, as Studley Royal Park including the ruins of Fountains Abbey, has been designated a World Heritage Site. It has also been designated a grade I listed park and garden by Historic England, and various structures within it are individually listed. After the Dissolution of the Monasteries, the Fountains estate was owned by the Gresham, Proctor, and Messenger families. William Eure, 2nd Baron Eure (10 May 1529 – 12 September 1594) was a Tudor-era English nobleman, soldier, and official in the Scottish Marches. Early life William Eure was the son of Ralph Eure, eldest son of William Eure who had been created Baron Eure in 1544, and Margery Bowes, daughter of Ralph Bowes of Streatlam Castle. Thomas Mallory (priest)
Thomas Mallory was a seventeenth-century English priest. Mawdesley was born at Studley Yorkshire and educated at Trinity College, Cambridge. He was a Fellow of Caius from 1592 to 1600. He held livings at Romaldkirk and Davenham. William Mallory
William Mallory (died 1646) of Studley Royal, Yorkshire was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons variously between 1614 and 1642. He supported the Royalist side in the English Civil War. His father, John Mallory (died 1619), was also an MP of Ripon. Mallory was elected Member of Parliament for Ripon in 1614 and re-elected in 1621 1624 and 1625. He was then re-elected MP for Ripon in 1628 and sat until 1629 when King Charles decided to rule without parliament for eleven years. In April 1640, Mallory was re-elected MP for Ripon in the Short Parliament and again in November 1640 for the Long Parliament. He was disabled from sitting in parliament on 16 September 1642 for supporting the King. Mallory died in 1646. Mallory married Dorothy Bellingham, daughter of Sir James Bellingham of Levens, Westmorland. William Allen (153216 October 1594), also known as Guilielmus Alanus or Gulielmus Alanus, was an English Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He was an ordained priest, but was never a bishop.
