Joe Dickson
Joe Dickson (March26, 1940April6, 2022) was a politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 2007 to 2018 who represented the riding of Ajax—Pickering. Background Dickson was born and raised in Ajax, Ontario. He was the owner of a printing business, Dickson Printing Ltd. Dickson was a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. He supports 22 Ajax-Pickering area sports teams. He lived in Ajax with his wife Donna. They have two adult children and five grandchildren. He died April 7, 2022. Jim Wiseman
James Perry Wiseman (born April 21, 1949) is a former Canadian politician in Ontario. He was a New Democratic Party member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1990 to 1995. Background Wiseman has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and a Master of Arts degree from McMaster University. He worked as a high school history teacher before entering political life. His son, Evan, ran for the NDP in the 2011 election in the riding of Ajax—Pickering. He was active in the environmental movement. He was the founding member of a local environment group called ''Pickering/Ajax Citizens Together For The Environment''. The Ontario New Democratic Party (NDP; , NPD) is a social democratic political party in Ontario, Canada. The party sits on the centre-left of the political spectrum. Rod Phillips (politician)
Rod Phillips is a Canadian businessman and former politician who was the member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Ajax from 2018 to 2022. A member of the Ontario Progressive Conservative (PC) Party, Phillips served as Ontario's minister of the environment, conservation and parks from 2018 to 2019, minister of finance from 2019 to 2020, and minister of long-term care from 2021 to 2022. Phillips ran for MPP in the 2018 provincial election, following which his PC Party would form government. Premier Doug Ford named him environment minister, before promoting him to the finance portfolio, succeeding Vic Fedeli.
